I saw this on a Billboard 1969 list and couldn't remember it. Came here. Gave a listen, and the hook "Scooby Doo", carried me back 55 years. Love Veronica's dance!
Everything's Alright has always been one of my favorite Archie songs , I do remember seeing the video on the when I was little . Thanks for making this .
Again; there were rather glaring differences between the print and TV cartoon counterparts (the Riverdale gang have a mid-1960s design)--even the staff made an effort to acknowledge the popularity of Archie's numerous spinoffs (not to mention Josie and the PussyCats, who were a better match where design was concerned). Somewhat off-topic, if related.
Yes, I remember that the Oregon Journal carried the comic strip, and I even remember some of the jokes: Archie asks Professor Flutesnoot if he may have a dead bee, and in the last panel Mr. Andrew's tells Archie's mother that the professor gave Archie a "B" in biology, and I didn't even know what it was at the time. In another strip Archie and Jughead had to clean all of the graffiti off the locker room walls because someone had written "The Coach Isn't Fat, He's Hollow!" and Coach Kleats was rightfully offended by that.
Bubblegum doesn't get any sweeter. "Sunday after mass, diggin' Mama Cass..."
This has ALWAYS been one of my favorite Archies songs!!! And it’s from what I think is their best album, Jingle Jangle.
Actually, the song is from Everything's Archie.
