I want more Watch Dogs so I definitely want Ubisoft to succeed. I agree about Legion though. I like the game, but I think they should've tried the play as anyone experiment in a smaller scale spin-off instead of a big budget sequel. I like Assassin's Creed, but not The Witcher's Creed I skipped Odyssey and Valhalla. I like Far Cry, for the most part, but the stagnation was real. I'm disappointed we won't get another single-player Rainbow Six. That was my favorite outta the Tom Clancy's.
I know people who still think For Honor is garbage despite last playing it 8 years ago. I can only imagine how amazing the game could be if it wasn't gutted at the start. Still , great game
19:45 "A tiny section of the population would have an issue with this". lmao. Ubi fanbois never learn. I guess me and a TINY section of gamers think the same, considering how many layoffs and flops bombed this year. tldr: ubi fan is mad.
brother how is that me being a fan boy? also you realise you’re saying “I don’t like female main characters because they are female”. Now that’s a cool statement to be proud of
@@Exiled7 To be fair Ubisoft has historically written two types of protagoinsts; a) uptight serious types (altair, connor, evie, watchdogs 1 guy, etc) and b) fun loving charming types (ezio, whats his name from pirate one, watch dogs 2 guy, british guy, etc), tho charm varies greatly, still b type has their most beloved characters and that archytype is arguably easier to write whit male character.
@@ns7495"arguably easier to write as white male character" what an easy way to say youre sexist and racist. Goddamn, some ignorance is actually baffling.
I remember not being too hyped about FC4. But playing it there was some nice gameplay improvements. But a lot of it felt like a step back. Years later I actually appreciate it more because of the setting.
The whole Ubisoft downfall is still somewhat of a surprise to me. It seems like it happened all of the sudden with very little build up. I always thought there was a lot of positivity surrounding Ubisoft but maybe it was just me. I would personally like to see the company make a complete turn around without having to sell their properties off. Sure-they've made more than a few strategical errors of late (a mediocre Avatar game, a live service pirate game no one was asking for, a Star Wars game when most of the fans don't care about that franchise anymore and making unnecessarily divisive choices for AC Shadows) but I hope they can bounce back from it.
Could Ubisoft come back? Definitely. However, like you said they're too blinded from money. Ubisoft is one of the largest game developers ever with thousands of employees and they 100% have a lot of talented people, who can't be used because of either time constraint or just copy pasting the exact same game year after year.
Eh, wouldent really bet on people loving and trusting rockstar, definetly not after gta6 releases, but considering their ”we aint gonna offend no one no more” statment, might be they ruin their reputation early. Anyway since dan houser left rockstar whit all the staff he deemed to be of quality, to make his scifi game that his brother the ceo sam houser wouldent greenlit, Well like kreia said ”its such a Quiet thing to fall, but far more terrifying to admit it” and rockstars at post fall part of their fall to mediocrety.
Next to no statement has actually been made, hardly anything outside of the trailer has been discussed. All of the information your comment is based off is grifters who try to tell you to be mad about everything and want to make massive leaps in logic based on small comments or tiny snippet of information. While I think the game will be more toned down compared to 5, I would also say they would just make the comedy more in line with the times itself. Lastly, this conversation literally doesn’t matter, as most people love rockstar, GTA 5 is the most successful piece of media to exist and GTA6 is the most hyped game in existence. Given the fact RDR2 was leaps and bounds ahead of GTA5 and RDR1 shows they actually focus on quality games first. That is what matters more than rage bait

I somewhat blame the fans , because their business model would have failed a long time ago without these rabid fans . "Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next product" . just like EA's sport games or CoD or even Halo to some extent . These companies business should have failed a long time ago and they could have changed their course a long time ago . Not to mention those Devs from way back when are already long gone . These companies are nothing but a Ship of Theseus . Tbh I'm happy to see all these company downfall this year , hope they can learn something from it . Or else China will make a copy of these game and actually make an actual improvement on it . I hope Ubisoft will be taken over by Tencent , because that will probably be an actual improvement for the company .
I wonder why this vid has so few views? Anyway, my first true Ubi game was FC5 and I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful world and fun gunplay! Then I played AC Origins and was again blown away by the size, world and fun combat! Byak was cool too! But after playing half of AC Odyssey, I wont be returning to any Ubi game. Its clear how greedy and inconsiderate they are to their players. Doesnt help theyre playing race politics with AC Shadows, or that they told us to get comfortable not owning the things we buy. Long story short, theres plenty amazing studios and games out there and I will agree with Ubi and no longer own their (Ubisoft) games! Shameless how they treat everything around them!
I feel like Ubisoft will be dissected for years on how NOT to do game dev... such a fall from grace

I miss the Ubisoft that thought Cassandra wouldn't sell. Male protagonists are rare these days.
Even though male protagonists still make up the majority of gaming characters?😂 Relax, dude.
