Hi Brent, nothing to do with this video just a random question!...........I have a 306 sbf in a mid engined car which has not been started in about 3 years and I would like to prime the engine before trying to start it - because of the location of the engine I cannot remove the distributor to prime in the normal way. I have seen online that the engine can be primed using a pressure vessel (e.g. garden sprayer) to pump oil through the oil pressure take off in the block. Is there any reason this should not work and do you know the thread size of the hole in the block as I will need to get an adapter to rig this up? Thanks, Dave
Both intake and exhaust. You usually just see a clearance issue on the intake side, but I've ran both sides that close. I always check everything with the actual springs.
@@lykinsmotorsports So Brent, lashed up and ready to go(running spring) You’ve successfully ran 030” clearance on not only intake but exhaust as well? Measured with dial indicator?
