I built a small geodesic dome with aquaponics in it. And when I close it in for the winter and the plants start really growing in the spring, it feels wonderful inside it! I could just imagine what an earth ship would feel like! I will not pass up a chance to go through one if I’m ever close to one. Thanks for sharing!

This is absolutely stunning. My favourite one so far. I adore how much of it in Green house/jungle!! And the decor is just beautiful. Some I find look too much like a regular condo inside, I would go hobbit all the way! And I adore that bathroom!! The air quality must be amazing too with all the trees and plants!! I'm seriously looking in this direction for my next home only I'm up north near Santa's workshop lol which these structures seem to do pretty well up there, with some adjustments. Still in the research phase and looking at properties. I hope more and more people move in this Earth friendly direction!!
Thanks so much for sharing! This is so inspiring!!

The house is big and beautifully designed, passages to each room seems a maze giving it a mysterious look, the plants are relaxing. One thing I think the earthship is missing is the light, could have more windows so the the light comes through and switching on some lights could help for a clearer view while filming the video. The blue wall reflects little light, white could bring more light - but it’s all about the owner’s preference.

I would be so happy here! Just a mental note, ever since I did it, I kicked myself in the butt. I threw away LOTS of those cobalt blue Arizona Ice Tea bottles when I moved from California to Oregon. I wanted to melt them and use them, oh what a WALL I could have built with them! This place is just fabulous. I love everything about it, especially art the art pieces and plants. 🌱

Yes I believe if you were to build this today it would be around 1.5M. Most of that cost is labor since you would need a ton of people to build. This particular house was built by a group near Taos NM as an experiment and proof of concept! It's a great place to visit to learn about earth ships and the process and reason for their design if you are ever over in New Mexico!
