Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon, Parasite Eve, Legend of Legaia, Lunar 1 and 2, Soul Reaver off the top of my head

The legacy of kain/soul reaver games are so good. The story telling and voice acting second to none. I'd also would love dino crisis and parasite eve remake those games were awesome. Parasite eve 1 and 2 I still play a bunch. I never played original Tenchu but I did play Wrath of Heaven on ps2.
Well with the survey from Crystal Dynamics we await what comes of that whether a sequel, remake or remaster of Legacy of Kain games.
Its one of the first games that Amy Hennig worked on. She also worked on the Uncharted games and those have amazing stories as well.
The Legend of Dragoon must be number one priority

Dragoon was average at best
Played through and beat that game for the first time late last year. Fantastic game. One of my favorite JRPGs ever
A game that’s high on metacritic usually is pretty good. Ff9 is and it was one of the best final fantasies I ever played

After seeing the Syphon Filter series re-released on PS4/5 I've been hoping for at least a re-release of the Soul Reaver and Tenchu series. Would love to see remakes for those 2 series, been hoping for them for ages now.
I'm actually shocked that Final Fantasy Tactics did not get a mention. I really hope the FFT remaster rumors are true.
Fairly recently I went back to Syphon and rearranged the controls to what I was more used to on modern systems.. That’s what I’m thinking a SF reboot if we can’t get any more Days Gone at this time..
As far as FFT I’ll take either a remake with full VA like we got with Tactics Ogre or a FFT remaster collection featuring War of the Lions and the Advance titles..
Holy shit!!!! What a phenomenal list of bangers! Nightmare Creatures, Legacy of Kain and Parasite Eve all DESERVE a remake. I've got a feeling that the Dino Crisis reboot is on the way too. This list is a reminder of just how many killer games were on the PS1.

Dino Crisis 2 is like Resident Evil 4, very diferent from their previous iteration with revamped mechanics that erased the survival parts from the game into fun engaging addicting action parts (from survival horror -> action horror). I even imagine if there is a demake of RE4 for PS1 it will pretty close with Dino Crisis 2 gameplay wise

personally id want them to finish the legacy of kain series with a sequel. the ending of defiance left it in a state unfinished sadly. love this list!

Well the survey from Crystal Dynamics happened so we just have to wait and see what they do with that info and whether sequel, remake, remaster or whatever.
This is a great list of games that all deserve remakes. I would love to see a remake of a game that rarely gets recognized even though it was from one of the most popular game studios in recent history, Fromsoftware. No one ever mentions King's Field. It was a brutally difficult game with a descent story that spawned several sequels. I would definitely love to see the whole series remade.
I remember getting these vhs tapes from Nintendo that advertised upcoming games. And as a kid those were so sweet. These videos remind of those days and I love seeing all of the gems that passed my by. Gets me excited to hunt some of them down and play them myself.
When you talked about Bushido Blade I inmediately thought about Way of the samurai for the PS1, it's a samurai beat em up that's amazing.
That as a remaster could be better than the original
Absolutely loved Dino Crisis and original Resident Evil on my ps1 , and mgs 1 blew my mind with crawling through ducting hiding in boxes etc , great list mate good job
All of these are great choices and I'd especially like to see Xenogears get a remake because the end part of the game was rushed to meet a deadline. Getting to see the entire game play out like it was originally intended to would be a great experience to have and I'm sure there are many fans who would embrace the idea of a remake with enthusiasm.
I know it wasn’t on your list, but I always appreciated Tomba. Such a quirky and different game. Then, I just found out it will be remastered. Good time to be a old school gamer. Great list too.

100% agree with Xenogears! I'd even be happy with a premium re-release on consoles so that I'm able to play it on more than my PS3.

I'd like to throw Tails Concerto in there tbh, probably one of my most wanted remakes. It would do so well with one.

Great video & great selection of games that i agree definitely need to be revisited with remakes as they are epic, they stood out with their unique gameplay mechanics that you don't often see beyond the PS1.

I feel like Bushido Blade has a chance at becoming an esports title if it was remade for modern consoles properly. It could be the next EVO title.

keeps impressing me that most of these complex 3d games came only a couple off years after Wolfenstein 3D, things moved so fast back then! It truly was a revolution

Bushido Blade really needs a revival. I'd love for Parasite Eve to get a remake, but that IP at least transcended their initial console.
On a side note, today I realized Baten Kaitos is finally getting a remake!
I actually never ever met someone else talk about Nightmare Creatures, granted I haven’t searched on TH-cam but this really took me by surprise to see it in this video 😁

I'm so glad you put Aya on the thumbnail. I am proudly to buy that game when it came out in the late 90's. I still own the game in CIB and looks almost like new condition. I currently own around 35 PS1 games in CIB (3 are brand new ( Suikoden 2)).

Another great list of games. Legacy of kain is one of my faves and even though I love the resident evil games, I've never played the Dino crisis series. Weird right?

I would LOVE a Soul Reaver remake! The Legacy of Kain games are very fun and alluring. There have been rumors of a remake for some time now and I hope they are true.

Nice picks, mine would be Parasite Eve, Xenogears, Front Mission 3, Jumping Flash, Ray Tracers, Raystorm, Red Ashpalt, Choro Q, Star Gladiator and Vagrant Story. And absolutely yeah, Tobal would be nice for squenix to give another try on fighting game.

Was born in the late 80's, and was lucky enough to play these games when I was young😭 Great memories, the impact it had on me as a kid, the open ended ways of getting around in Tenchu, PE was amazing too, or the tense Soul Reaver & Nightmare Creatures & Silent Hill truly amazing experiences. I would give an arm & a leg for a Tenchu remake😥 with the SH2 remake, which is hopefully awesome, its a shame they skipped SH1. Supposedly they're making a full fledged Soul Reaver remake, look it up. Anyway great vid!

Metal Gear Solid, Suikoden 1 & 2, FF VIII, Syphon Filter for me. So many classics on the PS1 that could do with a freshening up
Metal Gear Solid did get a remake on Gamecube, but certainly a new modern version would be great

Very good list! At the very least, these games need ports to modern hardware so people can play them. If there ever were remakes or sequels for Tobal and Bushido Blade they could do so much more with the current hardware's capabilities. Tobal could really flesh out it's quest mode and be a full on fighting RPG (look how excited people got for Street FIghter 6's World Tour mode) while Bushido Blade could make more realistic sword fighting and interactable environments.

Driver, Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor Underground, Dino Crisis and Syphon Filter should get remakes too. Good choices in the video of course. PS1 games should not be forgotten!

Me too, I would like to see the Bushido Blade Series, Parasite Eve Series, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins and Final Fantasy IX to be Remade. But FFVIII should get a Remake first before FFIX.

Oh Gosh, Soul Reaver is the best of Legacy of Kain series. I believe many slashers were inspired by this game, it is a trendsetter. But I believe it would be hard to remake it in order to meet modern realities. We have a lot of hack and slashers with cool puzzles here (god of war, darksiders)..
Xenogears definitely needs a remake, it was not finished properly with holes in gameplay. I believe they can make it really good

I'd love to see Jet Moto get a remake. We don't get futuristic or jetski racers anymore, and Jet Moto satisfies both.

If you didn't I would have suggested the legacy of Kain series, minus the "2s" , but the first second and defiance for sure deserve a a visual upgrade ( leave the audio alone though).
Tenchi and metal gear solid defined stealth gameplay for me. Such a good feeling when you got that grand master rating. Impressed bushido blad made the list such an underrated game especially how they handled aquiring the endings haha. But can we get a tomba remake haha i feel like that game would succeed sweing how crash bandicoot and others like it are fairing well
Tenchu 2 is my absolute fave, even Tenchu after that are not that great compared to Tenchu 2 in my opinion. But I dont know why its considered as not that great by many. The journey to get Grand master Ninja title is thriliing for me back then
I am a fan on Tenchu games and the game that made feel the same is Shinobido for the PS Vita, I consider it a good replacement of a remake

A game I would like to see remade? Clock Tower perhaps? By that I mean the one called Clock Tower 2 in Japan.
If I could pick one remaster it would be Tomorrow Never Dies but with an Everything or Nothing type mechanics or maybe Rainbow Six
Tenchu and silent hill 1 are no brainier remakes that would be so cool. I like the idea of expanding remakes. making the original bigger and better. both with big open world and all kinds of customization. can only dream
in addition to Dino Crisis and Parasite Eve, their sequels deserve & need modern remakes as well. And I'm hoping part 2 includes MediEvil 2, since the original got remade TWICE now yet the 2nd game remains playable only by having the actual PS1 disc & compatible console to play it on ( seriously, it's never even been re-released digitally....wtf is Sony smoking? ). Also like to throw out recommendations for Vagrant Story, Tiny Tank, Brave Fencer Musashi, the original Syphon Filter trilogy and Legend of Dragoon
It's a little surprising Tobal Number One didn't do better than it did, especially since there is a demo (pre release) for Final Fantasy VII on the game disc.
Medievil 2, physical switch and ps5 also put the 1st remake on switch and bring it to ps5 only being on ps4. And I would love to see the remakes on vita I would like a lot more on vita I understand not making system anymore, but people still love the vita the only problem was not a whole lot of great games for it. At least in U.S. new i.p's and remakes and hd ports. Gotta collect them all.

Tenchu Stealth Assassins - If it were remade today, it would have "You must be an idiot" button prompts all the way through, quicktime events for every kill, long cutscenes that trigger about every ten steps, achievements popping up on the screen every time you do something, health bars over the enemies' heads, linear levels, parkour mechanics, etc. Oh, and don't forget the obligatory online mode and the endless DLC;

I'd have added The Unholy War, Loaded (and Reloaded) and Hogs Of War. All god tier games imho
Xenogears not happening, it was incredible long and complex, and they were in need to cut narratives from the game to allow its release and end in time... re-make would mean adding like 35% of new stuff, re-shape the second disc story bits and such.. and re-makes are not well known to bring back the budget needed to do this right.

King's Field 2 (of a series of 4) is a Playstation exclusive game series by FromSoft, the creators of the Dark Souls franchise. They should absolutely remake all of them with updated graphics and quality of life improvements. (KF2 deserves it the most though, imo)

Great games, but I'd like the remakes, remasters, and reboots to go away for awhile. If they want to cash in on these old franchises, 8'd rather they get proper sequels or, perhaps better, bring back compilations! Preserve the original games, perhaps have an upscaled texture option, add some nice background info and extras, and some simple features like save states or digital guides. There should be more compilations than Genesis, Atari, and old Taito and Namco arcade games. Early 3D games are worth venerating as well!
That said, I bet you get that Dino Crisis remake sooner than later.

Great candidates for remake!
Dino Crisis getting a Resident Evil 2 style remake would be straight out of a dream. Sekiro was supposed to be a Tenchu reboot until it became too much its own thing, but I would die twice to play a Tenchu 1 remake, or any other new game in the series that played like 1, WOH, or FS. Either Dino or Tenchu being remade could only bring improvement.
I'd love to say I'd love to have remakes of Xenogears or Parasite Eve, but considering the last game Square remade, I'd be afraid they'd decide to completely reimagine those stories. While Final Fantasy VII Remake was thrilling and mysterious for most people, it was kind of a major let down for me. It had one of my favorite all-time stories in any game ever, and I wanted to see that story expanded on and enriched by modern technology and presentation, but instead it was almost a completely different story. If they announced a remake for another game with a story I love, I'd just feel dread mixed with morbid curiosity of how much of the original they'd gut to make room for new thrills.

Remake intelligent qube ps1 to ps4,ps5,switch and any other future handshelds heck I would also love it on vita if you would. All physical copy of game. U.S version as well.

Totally agree with the list, but I prefer replaying the games or discover them than a remake that can possibly stain the original game. In last December I discovered Parasite Eve, man what a gem!

Sekiro is sort of a Tenchu remake. There are lots of of very similar stealth mechanics, and the boss fights remain me of Tenchu 3's.
