Once again,,, FANTASTIC!!!!! 😁👍👍👍 Every time you push the starter button, you can hear the gearbox saying,, Aye, here we go,, another wee work out.🤣😂 Lovely to hear the bike buzzing along.
I agree Thank God for eccentric people the world’s a better place for them , what beautiful roads , where were all the cars ? , the scenery on approaching Braemar was stunning absolutely stunning 👍👍
I am continuing to enjoy your videos. I like small capacity bikes and have often thought of buying a YB100. A friend bought one in 1982 and I was impressed with it, a neat workmanlike machine. I have mostly had small capacity Hondas meaning four stroke engines.
OK then. I've been enjoying your trip log in between bouts of laughter. You certainly have more grit than I do riding the small vintage Yamaha that far. Very amusing and cheers for your determination! Ride on!
Well I don’t want to turn my videos into a contrived comedy but I am told I have a dry sense of humour and tend to say what I think!! Thanks and glad you are enjoying and amused!!
Thank the lord for mad eccentric folk I hear someone say......absolutely my friend as we take the grey out of your day. Sorry you didn't get the curry ☹ I've seen sprogs with all the best gear travel the world but you my friend are a level above them all......stay safe.
I put a lot of touring miles into small 2-strokes over the years, and always felt sorry for them. The engine note was either labouring or screaming. Hearing your YB reminded me of my Suzuki GP100 in particular. It's amazing what a little stroker can do, with sufficient determination and a deaf ear to the engine torture.
I rode the A93 to Braemar a couple of weeks ago following the Crieff Cloverleaf route. From there we were both on the same route for many miles, I even stopped at the same cafe for tea and cake! What no one who has not ridden those roads can know is just how steep some of those climbs are. The ski centre you rode past is the third highest road pass in Scotland! I rode the NC500 in the same direction as you a couple of years ago, so I am looking forward to watching your take on the route. This series is wonderful and I am loving your (leisurely) journey around wonderful Scotchshireland.
I expect to be taking that road to Buckie in a couple of days. Your video has been a great taster. Looking forward to it. This is a great series and you haven't even started the NC500 route yet!
haha loved the turbo boost on the b939 towards the Lecht :))))))))))) super plus unleaded with a spot of two stroke special vodka mix 😆😆.. the climb up to the lecht is only beaten by hardnott pass
BTW the lecht - where is that? I went up the Bealach na bah which was not as bad as I thought (west to east) but having driven up the Hardnott numerous times I have severe doubts that the YB could cope with those gradients in and out of the bends. The wheels on my car spin there.
@@RobLittleuk the lecht ITS at 22 minutes in your vlog .. if you google The Watchers on the A939 . 20min 48 sec on your vlog where you make a cut, that's where the gradient is. You resume the cut after the watchers on the climb up to the lecht ski centre . Its a pity that our wide angle vlog cameras don't show how big some of the climbs on the Scottish roads are.
Brilliant video. I've always said you don't need a big bike to ride an adventure. I use a CB500x, but you've taken the meaning of small bike a step further. Keep up the riding. ❤
Yeah, its Grantown-On-Spey, Granton is an area of Edinburgh. Great video, You were near "Ma Hoose" when you crossed the bridge into Fife and I have done your route often for a Sunday run through the Cairngorms. Your breakfast looked poor, Just a pity because myself and some fellow biking chums would have treated you to a decent Scottish breakfast fit for a man of your stature had we known of your impending adventure. You wouldn't have needed a Snickers at lunch 😃😃😃 Keep up the good work old bean, looking forward to the next instalment.
I am hoping my missus doesn't read about the snickers!! Unfortunately the offer of breakfast is now a figment of hindsight but t'would have been a grand experience - maybe next time!

Hi rob .that little bike is doing amazing. Apart from your sore bum .it never goes all to plan you have to adapt well done sir . Scenery is fantastic and a nice pace to enjoy. Thank you. Old dave.
I have just come across your channel and thoroughly enjoying your NC500 journey. I have a little 1982 Honda CB250rs which I could imaging doing something similar on but I would prefer not doing it alone. Your little YB100 is just amazing and makes this journey all the more amazing. I look forward to watching the continuation of your adventure and also I will look up your trip you did in Ireland. 😊👍🏍
Hi John - yes do check out the Ireland tour as arguably it was more dramatic on peeing rain with ripping winds for most of the time I was there!! I do travel with people I arrange to meet on route but like to do the things I want to do without relying on someone else - eg the videoing and photography. I will not camp and not into room sharing either so I can bea fussy bugger!
I am an old bugger too, 75 and have returned to motorcycling two and half years ago. The wife and I generally travel on the T100 on our 40-50 mile trips. I do ride with our local motorcycle club which has taken me on some interesting rides. Like you, I wouldn't want to camp and prefer my own room in a hotel. Living in South Leicestershire pretty much the centre of Roman Britain as was, I am in good position to ride in all directions. I have pencilled in a trip to Matlock Bath, it looks good for bikes and fish & chips. I will have a look at your trip to Ireland , I am sure it will be as entertaining as your NC500 trip. All the best.🏍

That was an extensive ride, Rob... Talk about the best laid plans, etc! Yes, the A9's not that exciting; I went from Inverness to near Coldstream, after having 'done' Culloden after breakfast, back in 2006, but that was by car, so a lot more comfortable. Good comment - one of the best.
