    Very interesting John, always interesting to see what people do and don't take with them! Filter coffee is first on the list for me, the joy of an open canoe! Thanks as ever for sharing look forward to watching your trip.

    I'm new to kayaking, but I'm not new to outdoor adventure. And for me, packing 2 or 3x the expected calories needed for the adventure is non negotiable. I look at my body like a car, and I try to keep my vehicles on full tanks because you never know

      That’s a fair point. I’m not so cautious but I get why some are

    Enjoyed that mate, good to see your set up. I'm a sucker for a drone shot and some of yours are pretty stunning, just be pretty challenging operating a drone over water while paddling. Looking forwards to your next trip, take care.

      @@TheGrayExplorer Faster passages for overnight/few days camping. Trying to get to a showroom that has the Stratos, Katana and Axis - lot of dosh to spend without seeing the boat.

    Just found your channel and think its excellent. Working through the Source of the Tyne videos as we are visiting Kielder in Oct 23. A quick question what was the kayak lock that you showed in this video.

    • @TheGrayExplorer
      @TheGrayExplorer ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s the Bosvision 4-digit combination padlock with cable.
      They’re about 18quid on Amazon 👍🏻

    Is it the 100 tea bags that make you British or the Snickers and boiled sweets? 😬🤔. Great video with a great order, layout and gear breakdown. Thx. How do you like your Hornet Bikepack tent?

    Great especially for beginners to get a taste. Would love to get a value/cost factor aspect added as info ... I'll check the link, maybe already there.

    • @TheGrayExplorer

      Someone has mentioned costs before, if i do an update video ill be sure to include it. But for reference what your seeing here is a culmination of a lot of years camping gear, I 100% dont have that level of cash to just throw at gear in one go

      I actually made a full review on the tent it’s on my channel. The boat? Hard to say it’s my first boat so I’ve nothing to compare it too. However I really like it, it’s really opened up a lot of adventures that I couldn’t have had before
