  • Setup:
    SAB Goblin,
    Custom HK4530-300KV Double Wye
    24S Turnigy 2650maH @ 35C
    arcESC @ 24S
    VBar
    Edge713
    2300RPM
    What i suspect happened:
Looking at the motor after the crash, we can see that the motor shaft slipped off the motor can, causing the motor belt to bind onto the tail belt. At 2:03 during the tic-tocs you can here a headspeed drop considerably. The Castle governor does not show a drop in RPM. I concluded the motor shaft slipped at this point.
The tail belt snapped, i lost tail authority and power and crashed :( . Too much torque for the poor grub screw...
    Ambient temperature was around 16°C.
The motor came down at 74°C.
    The packs at 26°C.
    The ESC at 37°C.
The Goblin has been an awesome machine. It hasn't skipped a beat yet.
I've had 2 crashes, one was due to the battery strap breaking, and now this.
None of these crashes had anything to do with the heli itself.
I've only had a handful of flights on this machine, and only 2 flights with big power on 13.5°.
I'm still adjusting to it, but also loving it, and i cant wait to get it back in the air and push some KW!!
