What do you think of the DT Swiss R460 wheels with Shimano Ultra 6800 hubs and DT Swiss Champion 2.0mm spokes? I got a pair of these wheels at $285 including shipping cost in the price. They are new too and I have installed the Shimano 5700 105 cassette with no problems. Peace!
Can you do a video on lightweight inexpensive rims for a fixed/single speed bike. I purchased a inexpensive single speed bike . I must say the frame is very good but the rims are heavy. Any feed back would appreciated. Thank you in advance
Campagnolo Khamsin = Fulcrum 7 without the G3 spoke pattern. But you can even get Khamsins without the G3 pattern, that really is the exact same thing as a Fulcrum 7 and vice versa. They're good.
The Fulcrum 7s have 20 spokes in the rear, the G3 Khamsin has 24. It only looks like it barely has spokes in the back because they're far apart. I only had a bike for two weeks with Khamsin wheels but they felt pretty good to me. No excessive flex or anything. I personally can't comment on the long term durability but I read good things.
thanks a lot man for those few last videos on bargain deals. I started following the bike industry just lately.. but was curious if there use to be autumn or winter special deals as well.. you know when the cycling season is over. Do you know if there use to be any?
Good reviews, I am from Singapore thinking to look at good deals and upgrade. I am currently using Shimano RS-11 on Wilier GTR 2014 bike model. ultegra 11 grp set. currently looking at fulcrum racing quattro lg alloy clincher 2016 and campagnolo scirocco 35 clincher. Any idea which is a better choice for an upgrade, climbing and endurance riding. I am not into racing, just endurance rider.
I'm using Zonda myself, As a very light weight rider i can make a note that Zonda are really stiff and very harsh on bumpy road. It is light and stiff (both laterally and radially) which is really good if you are heavier rider looking for a good wheel set. But for me, it's overly stiff radially due to their 2:1 lacing and direct pull radial spoke and hub.
81kg Caad 10 user here. I`m on 25mm Conti GPII, 95-100 Psi`ish. Charge scoop saddle, no complaints. So maybe wider tires lower psi, and different saddle?
I'm also CAAD10 user (in size 50). My weight range between 59-62kg. 90PSI front 95PSI rear tire. Thicker Saddle will help but not fully solve as i feel lots of vibration through my hand too. The thing is i have another friend with same tire and pressure just different wheels (normal J-bend 2x lacing) to test out and confirm that my wheels are indeed harsher, stiffer ride. It's not unbearable, just something noticable.
Could we get a renewed list of affordable wheels for 2020?
Agreed, is it possible to get some updated recommendations
new ZONDA C17 is even better than the previous one. unbelievable wheelset at an incredibly low price.
Aren't they $450 dollars?
Hi, what do you think about VisionTrimax 42 Wheelset also on sale for 594,90 €? thanks

They're good.
Boni Hollóssy does the 3 spoke pattern flex much??

Now the special deals are there all year round.
Fulcrum are owned by Campagnolo. That's why you see so much similarity in their wheels.

Very similar design. I would go the the look i prefer.
Campagnolo Scirroco 35mms should be in your list, I got a set for £160 from evans who price matched wiggle.
Do long travel hard tails (140mm travel) handle badly or not and what are the characteristics like.
I'm working right now on getting different bikes for testing, so stay tuned :)
How about the Token C22A?
it would be cool to review any CRC custom wheels...
what do you think about the h plus son archetype on ultegra hubs ?
I don't think I had these on any of my bikes...

I have done 14,000 km on a set of Mavic Aksium wheels.

Yes, these are stiff, I'm feeling great on them with my 76 kg of weight.

I now run my Zonda with the Schwable Pro One 25c. Setup was easy, now ride like a dream :)
I'm 95 kg. Do you feel zonda would suit my weight?
How about some disc wheels (I mean, for disc brakes)? Road bikes, specifically. Carbon, preferably.
Love the vids! :)
There are some nice disc specific wheels as well.
