    Snow White and the Seven Deadly Sins. If you believe in that stuff. If not, still...wraps up all our bad choices in a neat little package, no? No judgment. Just sorrow. Empathy. Hope. Your Prince Charming died. You are now older, pregnant and alone. You've bitten the apple. The poison is running through your veins...into your baby. Please, seek help! It is available!!!! Especially if you are pregnant!!! Please, please, please...SEE a better future for yourself and your child. It does not have to be a fairy tale. It could be real. If you make it so. Go, Snow White. Go now. You are the hero of this story. You must save yourself. Save your baby. Think of me as Mirror Mirror...on the wall....read my words and let them reflect on your soul. Go. Now.

If you have never experienced a non chaotic, secure life you don't know that is even possible. If you have never felt self-respect, self-esteem, a loving parent you don't know how that feels. Yes but it’s not always true. My mother was beat by her mother. She has a burned leg from a house fire when she was baby. Her mother beat her. Told her no one would ever love her. That no omg would ever want someone with a disability like hers. Her burned leg that is shorter than her other leg. Told she was ugly. Every day. She watched her father beat her mother so bad. Her mother would faint. My mom is a survivor an overcomer. Loving forgiven women. Who never received any love or nurture. And through that she knew deep down she would never ever treat her kids like what her mother did to her. We all have a free will choice. My mother has her own image. She is not in her mothers image. So anyone can survive and persevere through.

      @freereinartstudio1463 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@mariesoto569 So glad your mom overcame her childhood trauma and stopped the cycle with you. That is awesome and inspiring!!
      I am not saying that people who suffer addiction, abuse and trauma have no free will and are destined for skid row. I can relate in part to your mom and people interviewed here because I overcame a violent and abusive childhood too but it was not without a ton of support from my husband and a ton of counseling in which the ingrained abusive patterns were aknowledged, recognized and new ways modeled for me. Yes, it is possible but abuse, trauma, neglect, poverty, genetics, environment and on and on can stack up against someone where it takes tremendous effort and resources to overcome regardless of their desire or free will.
      For anyone who is curious about the factors that can stack against someone and a system in which therapists and others used to guage someone's risk, look up 'ACE Scores'. This stands for Adverse Childhood Experiences. The more ACE's a person experiences, the more at risk they are for a whole host of social problems. It is worth reading about since there are long term studies showing how the higher someone's ACE score is the higher risk they are for not only addiction but ill mental and physical health, unemployment, homelessness etc.

    Snow White, I really feel your pain and am sorry for what you've been through. I was once homeless, in touble with the law and addicted to opiates. I eventually got into a drug treatment program, got a job, went to a shelter where I was set up with a caseworker who really helped me. She got me on health insurance, food stamps, Section 8 (free or reduced housing) and I got sober and got my own apartment! I've been clean and sober for 5 years. If I can do it, I know that you can! 💯

It was people like you who shared their stories of where they came from and how they got clean that gave me faith that I could do it too! I got clean at age 35, and had been using one drug or another for 20 years. It took SO MUCH support for me to learn that there is a good life out there for me, and that I was WORTHY of it....that's the roughest thing, realizing that you are a worthwhile human being.

I was half crazy. I didn't sleep or eat. My legs wouldn't stop jumping. What we realized is that i do not produce much spit at all i always have dry mouth. So we switched over to subsolv because it contains the same ingredients as subs however these are in pilll form. I have been on them for over 6 years. I dont care if i have to take it for the resr of my life i am off of the streets. I have a good job and a 4 bedroom townhouse in a nice neighborhood. It is possible to revover. Just Shade “They refuse to help themselves” MANY of these women can’t free themselves mentally and are so stuck in this lifestyle. I’m sure that if they were given help they would take it. Nobody is helping them, This guy can’t give her a home. He can only give her a voice. A lot of people like you with the “ don’t save her” attitude is the reason why many of these girls are overlooked

    "I could never ask for anything. I think I owe people something." I can totally relate to that. I have people all around me who I can fall on. Yet I never ask. Instead I get angry that nobody notices I need help. That's a character flaw we share. But, I'm starting to learn all you have to do is ask for help. People can only say yes, or a no. It sounds like you're very much like me and hearing the word "no" hurts. It makes you feel depressed, and bad. Sometimes people can't help because they're in their hole, but you'll never know if you don't ask. Literally happened today with a client. I was struggling on a project and my client said "Relax. If you need anything ask". I asked him for money to cover some bills and he did it happily.

    • @ewetn1
      @ewetn1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, this is something that you really need to work on changing. I am sorry to say that and I don't want to upset you or put you on the defensive, but it is absolutely exhausting for other people to be tasked with emotionally taking care of another full grown complex adult, with their own desires, opinions, habits, moods, etc. Please stop expecting other people to be attentive to your needs and provide for you. You don't realize it but it's passive aggressive, it's draining, and even though in the beginning people will step up and try to help and give you what you need, after a short while, they will just avoid you because it's messy. I know you don't think of yourself as being "that bad." You're stable, successful, etc. Therapy can really help and give you a safe objective space to examine these thought and behavior patterns.

    I feel this woman’s pain. Crack takes hold fast, in this life. I had a pimp and a trick give it to me to “facilitate the process,” and it does. All the pain and fear of it went right out of my head. I’m not downing escorting or legal sex work but, working the streets, you don’t want to do it again without crack. At first, it even helps you make money. Very soon, you never make money again (that you don’t smoke) and the side effects and constant need to smoke keep you from working. It makes you ignore that intuition that warns you about psycho tricks or cops. You do things for simps and dealers you would never have talked to (a pimp would not want a girl on this drug). I got off it through court ordered treatment, but not until an OD that could have gone the other way. I’m still working, and the hardest thing is when tricks are using. There’s no way to know what they’re going to have...they’re not gonna just tell you they got a pile of crack, unless they know you. Also you’re feeling like you’re losing money, because tricks who spend on crack throw money and you lose those clients. One night I made $2800 from a smoker from a rich family, but it was gone in a weekend. Losing those dates was no loss. If I could go back to the point that this girl was at, I would try to stop right away (although it may have been too late to not have to go through the whole cycle). For me it was 7 years up in smoke. I thought quitting was impossible but now I can’t see going back. If you are in this situation, go to wherever you have to (if possible) and stop for as long as you can. If you mess up, quit again. I’ve done it 100 times but now I’m good. I am coming up on 4 years off opiates & a year off crack, back to school, and good things are happening. If you read this, Snow White, you can do it, too! Crack is a lying simp...it promises to help you and grinds you out, instead.

We just have children who aren't taught any different until many years later and another generation that comes along and says no more.

    She seems so childlike, somehow, so open & almost innocent, like her whole psyche stopped developing at 13 when she got into this lifestyle, which isn't uncommon, in terms of drug use etc...I really feel bad for her :-/ You can see her switching between the hard-fronting street person she's had to become, & the much sweeter, more childlike, humble & open person she really is - I wish there was some way to help her get out of that lifestyle, while she still has some of her youth left. I can't believe she's my age & this has been almost entirely her reality since the age of 13, that's such a long time straight of such a grindingly awful existence :( And yet, to preserve such a youthful-seeming soul throughout that? She's incredibly strong, but no one's unbreakable. I hope this platform manages to help her somehow :(
