24" did not exist. Sounds played double 18". Due to weight vs benefit double 18 will live forever. Plus they provide a tighter bass less rumble. the cone on a 21 is harder to move and the excursion doesnt go in and out as quickly giving a muddy sound sometimes in certian genre like reggae dancehall.
