    Thank you so much for telling me what the bulls eye end is. It seemed pretty obvious that the roots would be at the bottom, but I watched too many wordy video getting me all confused. You are very sweet and charming but also you stick to the point and tell us all what we need to know. Thanks again.

    Just discovered this beautiful flower! It looks so exotic, and the foliage is interesting and a great addition on its own. I planted the Lucifer and can’t wait to see it come up next year!

    Thank you for this lovely video. I discovered these this year and feel in love. I’m obsessed with growing them now. Start g some in late June here in NE US and hoping for some beautiful early fall blooms.

    This is a really helpful video, thank you. I have Crocosmia Suzanna, Crocosmia Lucifer and am about to add Crocosmia Peach Melba this year, all from Farmer Gracy. My Suzanna and Lucifer have been in the ground for two years this year and have been fabulous so far. I’m looking forward to seeing Peach Melba this year.

    Thanks yes that was useful! I wasn’t sure how to plant a few but planting them in multiple little groups is a new tip to me. Also it was interesting to see how many you planted in the space you had there.

    Looking at other videos there was a mention of breaking corm chains up in long established colonies and the difference between new and old corms. Also, still not sure if frost tolerant. I'm planting into a lawn, by the way, in January. The Greenfinch provided some distraction (take 2?). Regards.

    I planted mine in 2020 and they have grown so well. They were small plants not bulbs. I have the lucifer then a smaller orange coloured one. I can't wait for them to flower again.

    The most of my crocosmias are not flowering. Can you tell me why?

    • @TMBgarden
      @TMBgarden 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been told that phosphorus fertiliser helps perennials that are not doing well give you flowers since this are the nutrients that they need to get from the soil to going to flower, and another cause could be that plants aren't getting enough sunlight that they need, every species have a different amount of hours receiving sunlight to perform.

    One of the worst invasive non-native species, crowding out all native plants along our roadsides and waterways. Was looking for advice on how to get rid of it!

      For the ones I remove that had been in for donkeys years(35) I had to dig down 40inches and moved it onto a tarp and seived the soil to remove all the tiny end corms and strings of corms underneath and pop the dirt back .following year we still had a few green shoots appear but they were very easy to remove .5 yrs on and none have popped up since :) we didn't put into the rubbish we burnt the corms we had dug out so they couldn't naturalized anywhere else .hope this helps

      Can these be put in planter pots?

    • @kieranreilly7511
      @kieranreilly7511 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andreaolson7329yes, they can. I’ve been dividing mine for a few years and put them in to pots to stop them spreading. You might get a few leaves Turing brown of drooping for a while, but they do recover.

    I got quite a few of these (around) and only one of them popped out so far. I pretty much gave up on the rest.
