  • This video was shot at the Mineola LIRR station in Mineola, Long Island, NY
    After weeks of planning, me, Adam (Liberty Railfan Productions), Scott (Nomadic Railfan) and Mike (Waldwick Person) took a trip out to Mineola and New Hyde Park, Long Island for a day of awesome train action and even though there was track work going on, we still got a great amount of trains.
    There are actually 2 lines here. The LIRR Main Line and the LIRR Oyster Bay Branch which diverts off of the Main Line right in the middle of one of the crossings.
    Crossing Info:
    Crossing #1 (Pedestrian Crossing)
    Signal 1: 2 pairs of WC Hayes Lights, a WC Hayes gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell
    Signal #2: 3 pairs of WC Hayes Lights, a WC Hayes gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell

    Crossing #2 (Main Street)
    Signal # 1: 2 pairs of WC Hayes Lights, a WC Hayes gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell.
    Signal # 2: 3 pairs of WC Hayes Lights, a WC Hayes gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell.
    Signal #3: 1 MI cantilever with 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch fading LED lights
    Both pedestrain signals have a WC Hayes gate motor. One has 2 pairs of lights, while the other only has 1 pair of lights.

    Crossing #3 (Willis Ave, Oyster Bay Branch):
    Signal #1: 2 pairs of WC Hayes Lights, a WC Hayes gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell.
    Signal #2: 2 pairs of WC Hayes Lights, a WC Hayes gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell
    Both Pedestrian signals have WC Hayes gate motors, but 1 also has a pair of WC Hayes lights

    Both Pedestrian signals have WC Hayes gate motors, but 1 also has a pair of WC Hayes lights
