I drive a XUV500 now and i was using a Safari Storme for 5 years before owning the XUV. With no doubt, i will say that Storme is much better car compared to XUV. Since Hexa is a premium and more modern offering than Storme, i bet it is a better deal over XUV. Advantages of Storme. 1) Strong body and that justifies its weight. Its a very safe and solid car. 2) Heavy duty suspension. Storme has a car like suspension set up unlike the Dicor which had torsion beam set up. I had a Dicor too for 7 years. Storme just glides over potholes. 3) Storme has a better turning radius than XUV. Surprised? 4) Excellent stability both on road and off the road. 5) Commanding drive position and you will love that. People will notice you driving a Safari. 6) Reasonable mileage - 13Kms/L. 7) Yearly or 15000kms service. I spent nothing other than these periodical maintenance. Cheaper to maintain. 8) Acres of space in first 2 rows. Huge boot space. 9) A very comfortable highway cruiser. 10) Good wheel articulation. All wheels still touches the ground while taking sharp curves with inclination. Disadvantages of Storme. 1) Scarce on features. 2) Body roll because of the taller design. XUV too have a good body roll. 3) Difficult for the elderly to climb inside the car. 4) Maneuvering and parking in the city. 5) Non competent sales and service people. I guess the situation is much better now. 6) Poor resale value. Advantages of XUV. 1) More car like. 2) Exhaustive feature list. 3) Mileage - 15Kms/L. 4) More modern design. 5) Almost the same ground clearance that of Storme but a better ingress for elderly. 6) Feels premium. 7) Better handling in the city. 8) Better resale value. Disadvantages of XUV. 1) Not a strongly built car (thinner sheet metal) and doesn't feel solid. 2) Body roll and unsettled ride. 3) Humongous torque steer since it is a front wheel drive car. 4) You can feel even the smallest rough patch on the road. 5) Stiff ride. 6) Cramped third row. 7) No boot space with all 3 rows up. 8) Smaller rear windshield limits the view while reversing. Need to have a reverse cam. I moved to XUV since i want a fresher car and for the ease of use by the elderly in my home. Now after using it, i feel i could have gone for the Hexa.

After owning hexa xta for over 4 months, i can clearly say it provides a lot more than its price if compared with same segment cars. Only useful feature missing is telescopic adjustment of steering wheel. A very robust SUV with a premium and silent cabin with good noise cancellation and an awesome music experience for long journeys.

I have been driving he Hexa (XT) for about 2 years now. Fantastic suspension, great sound system, good seat comfort, good quality of material and interiors, good acceleration and loads of confidence on the highway. There are a few problems which if addressed could make it a fantastic car - gearing ratio is weak in 1st and 2nd gears - too weak for its weight on the hills. If you downshift from 4th to 3rd gear on inclines, it fails to pull and compels you to downshift again to 2nd gear. Except in 1st gear, engine wakes up only around 1500 rpm. Headlights are weak, especially coverage of the sides even with bumper fog lamps. In the hills with mist and fog and steep turns this can be dangerous. For the plains and open highways, its a great car to drive and to sit in.
hexa is more SUV than xuv, go for offroading both vehicles, xuv is a joke in front of hexa not because of ladder frame but because mainly of the system and hardware in the hexa via rough road mode and automatic also is way better than xuv automatic

And how many times we go for offroading?? Great Effort..Except ..Hexa doesn't have a transfer case to multiply Torque which is very essential for proper offroading, Hence Hexa also cannot be called as a true SUV. From its shape and capability, Hexa slots between a Van and SUV.
I drive HEXA XE, it's awesome for long drive with full family. My family members loved this car, seating and performance of the vehicle is really awesome. Never compare with any other vehicles, it a unique, u will be fully satisfied, but mileage is bit disappointing,

Amit sir gagan bhai aur ab apki ye video dekh ke me ek conclusion pe to pahunch hi gya hu ki xuv ke baare me kabi sochna nhi hai coz. Xuv Being a suv having front wheel drive???? M from jammu n like to drive here n there including hilly areas......n spending 17 lakhs to buy FWD not a wise decision.......features ka aachar dalna hai.

Muje koi fark nahi padta lekin mera manana hei ki logo mehnat kar ke kamai karte hei aisi bekar car ke liye 18_20 lac dena samajdaari nahi hei. Agar tuje itna hi bharosa hei to jaake "safari eyes" ki last video dekh le. Sab log bol rahe hei ki ravindra ne fsaya hei usse tata safari dilake. Aur aur bhi yakeen naa aye to jake google kar lo hexa ki monthly selling aur innova ki monthly selling kitni hei wo. Pata chal jayega.
