they debuted as Got7 cause they got it all. they aren't just visual7, rapper7, singer7 or whatever else exist in this world other than got7. please know they are artists first before their visuals.. they never want people to turn blind eye to their talents just cause they are blessed with visual.. jyp just lucky that there are 7 visually talented people who wanted to be in his company to be honest. Even before their trainee period, got7 had impressive background. Let me tell you something.. Yugyeom went to Hype & Soul (academy/crew) which was the only hip hop dancing crew in Korea as of 2016, as mentioned in Hit The Stage. The dance teacher who taught Yugyeom was the choreographer of asian games in 2010s. Yugyeom basically learnt dancing from one of the best dancer in SK. He also won number 1 in a house dance competition prior to joining jype as a trainee and acknowledged as the best one among idols in that genre. The other boys had their own impressive achievements before trainee period.. Youngjae won Vocal Excellence Award in 2011 in his local city (Mapo) singing competition. Yugyeom, Jackson, Bambam, Jb & Jinyoung also won first place in auditions/competitions. Jaebeom and Jinyoung won number 1 (they tied) for the 5th jyp open audition where they competed against around 10k others.. Prior to that Jaebeom was a part of a b-boy crew in Ilsan. Damn I was astounded by GOT7's visual. All in there are looking good but when they entered, the word handsome is understatement. They're magnificent. GOT7 are looking hella fine. They should have debuted as Visual7 or Face7 (or 7-Eleven haha) and the moment they stepped on they immediately started talking.

Yugyeom went to Hype & Soul (academy/crew) which was the only hip hop dancing crew in Korea as of 2016, as mentioned in Hit The Stage. The dance teacher who taught Yugyeom was the choreographer of asian games in 2010s. Yugyeom basically learnt dancing from one of the best dancer in SK. He also won number 1 in a house dance competition prior to joining jype as a trainee and acknowledged as the best one among idols in that genre. The other boys had their own impressive achievements before trainee period..
Youngjae won Vocal Excellence Award in 2011 in his local city (Mapo) singing competition. Yugyeom, Jackson, Bambam, Jb & Jinyoung also won first place in auditions/competitions. Jaebeom and Jinyoung won number 1 (they tied) for the 5th jyp open audition where they competed against around 10k others.. Prior to that Jaebeom was a part of a b-boy crew in Ilsan. He also joined a b-boy competition where he eventually get scouted to join the jyp open audition. Bambam won number 1 in a JYPxLG dance competition in Thailand. Jackson won number 1 in the youth Olympic Games as a fencer and he made a promise with his dad if he won number 1 he'll fly to Korea to pursuit his love for dancing and music. Mark was scouted but managed to go through the trainee system without failure and even excelled better than the other trainees when it comes to martial arts. If you read online, you'll find reasons why the big 3 trainee systems are harsh... and these 7 men managed to go through it successfully and that is how got7 is formed.

@@time3831 I still find it hilarious that Mark agreed to be a kpop trainee just because he didn’t wanted to attend summer school. He was also scouted when he was arguing with his friend on top of the lunch table when the said friend broke his skateboard.He was picked for just his visuals but he managed to excel in dancing, martial arts tricking, rapping and singing + he writes songs too. I just freaking love all of the members of got7, they are all visuals, talented, hardworking, humble and super nice to their fans.

Now, Jinyoung later on was recognized as a visual too, therefore, Mark and Jinyoung are usually called the visual line or duo when they appear on broadcast, etc. While you're not technically wrong about Jinyoung not being a visual, you're also wrong about him being THE visual center, because Mark is the one recognized as such. So the conclusion is that they're the visual line BUT Mark is the official visual of the group recognized by GOT7.
