I think lippies are what Charlotte does best and there's something lovely about being able to pull a luxurious looking lipstick out of your handbag I always think x

I’ve never used the range but it looks great. I’ve just taken the leap of faith to grow my dyed hair out and trying to rock the grey. But it’s bringing its challenges with makeup and I need a change of colours. Love the reds xx
I love this. I find exactly the same when I change my hair colour, I definitely gravitate to some shades more so when I'm blonde rather than brunette and vice versa 🙂

I have very similar skin tone like you, but CT lipsticks always pull orange on me,especially the “nude” colors, they are just different shade of light orange on me lol PS I love your natural lighting setup. It really shows the true colors.

Hi Emily, thank you! I personally go by the look and smell of the lipstick, if it smells or looks different (eg colour starts to turn) I would declutter it. It’s difficult to give an exact time because things such as the formula of the lipstick or where you store it can have an impact. I’ve got some lipsticks in my collection that are a few years old and I’m still happy to wear them but it depends what you feel comfortable with 🙂. But in this situation I’m talking about my personal collection. If we’re talking about lipstick in a makeup kit (eg if you’re a makeup artist), I wouldn’t use anything after its expired. On the item, it usually tells you the life of the product once it’s been opened. Hope this helps 🙂

My skintone is similar to yours. Thank you for this! You should try The Queen, Wedding Belles and First Dance. They look great on me and I believe they will look great on you, as well. Pillow Talk Superstar version is nice too. And Petal Pink from the lip tints.

Lipsticks can look different, depending on your skin tone and the natural colour of your lips. MAC’s Velvet Teddy on me looks dark but on someone else is a perfect nude. Sometimes finding a shade you love can be a bit tricky! Pillow talk medium is a beautiful shade 🙂

I have quite a few of CT’s lippies (Kissing formula is my favourite) but a lot of times I find the swatches on her site don’t always look quite like ‘real life’ if that makes sense or maybe they just pull very different on my face haha. My most used are Bitch Perfect, Kim KW, Penelope Pink, Nude Kate, Dancefloor Princess, JK Magic and Angel Alessandra. I sometimes wear Hot Emily (actually named for Emily Ratajkowski 💖) but I tend to stick with the nudes. I only have a couple of the Matte Revolution formula but i find I generally choose the Kissing ones over these. They are definitely not as drying as other mattes I’ve tried, but I still will choose the Kissing formula over them anyday 😊
No you’re making perfect sense and I agree! Stoned Rose is a nice shade but it wasn’t what I expected based on the picture on the CT website. Kissing is my favourite too. I’m not a huge fan of matte lipstick, I tend to put a gloss on top but her matte formula is better than some others I’ve tried. Glad you found the video helpful 🙂 xx

Oh and same with Pillow Talk - on you and the models it looks gorgeous, but it pulls a bit differently on me, especially in my winter ‘shade’. I usually end up throwing Penelope Pink or KKW on top. Have a good one 🥰
