This is like the 7th Version I'm watching, it's sad to see how women in Ancient Times couldn't just walk away from a cheating spouse but had to plan like planning for a war 😢. Anyhow this was a decent Watch, had it's own interpretation and originality, the only downfall for me was the lack of a proper relationship development between our 2 main Leads, though their eyes when looking at each other spoke volume and told us as viewers what their mouths didn't speak but I wanted real and more kissing Scenes, not that fleeting peck we got 😅😂😂😂. FL knew the ML was plotting to assault her, yet she never hired a guard to protect herself…🙄 At least in several other versions of the plot, the FL hires a female guard or the ML sends a female guard to protect her… This is quickly heading towards my least favorite version of this particular plot.

i have yet to watch a better version of this cdrama storyline. i only watched the whole drama just for curiosity. to see what addition the writers put on this same storyline. (also, I like the ML (emperor) coz i watched him in another cdrama which i liked very much. the one were he was a prince who pretended to be a fool and married a transmigrated doctor. that's one of my favorite.) i've also watched the ML in other cdrama, she is also a good actor.
She left so called husband's house at the end only .. not for me... I hate when whole drama spends just to get a divorce.. hell her love is king, what a king cant do? But he cant give a divorce in whole drama... It is just stupid story
I’m at 2:03:14 and I don’t want her with the emperor either! I understand that realistically he would have concubines, but the fact that he already has several concubines AND she said her Yun family teachings is to not allow concubines should be enough to steer her clear of his pursuit. He missed his chance 4 years ago and should move on! I mean he kept saying how dangerous it was and he didn’t want to put her in danger, but he still had “time” to marry other women these four years… There is also no mention of his children, are we to believe that he has not touched any of the women in his harem? If that’s the case, he’s not a good guy in that sense either. He’s willing to take in his ministers’ daughters into his harem to secure his power but makes them live in “widowed” marriage? Scum!
As much as we didn’t get any kisses (cause I’m not counting the peck as a kiss🙄). I could still feel their emotions even through the way they look at each other😍. I wish we got the scene of her ex’s family going bunkers at the end and not just us hearing about it. Good drama still

What was supposed to be a decent thing to help widows financially basically in times of trouble when their husband passed away due to war or bad circumstances has turned into something ugly now and now up to modern time where it’s been practiced to abuse not to help a second woman or man there’s a couple cultures that will allow the opposite. Basically, what is good for the goose is good for the gander so to speak and it does mention it in the Bible, where Noah had more than one wife because he want children and his wife allowed her to basically get with another woman because she can provide for a long time which in this age is a forever basically to have a child and literally she actually had one finally which is considered now into your elderly years, which is pretty much almost unheard of such a few cases where a miracle has happened, was it allowed with Sarah‘s help because basically I do believe Noah would stay faithful to his first wife, but she saw how faithful her husband was to her and she relented after many yearsof them trying and not having any results
I don't get it though, if from the get go you said you want to divorce why not just divorce. It took almost the entire movie for her to just divorce. This was poorly executed.
From my understanding, the husband was unwilling and since she had no family backing her, she had to be strategic. And if she had insisted, she would have left as a disgrace because her dowry were used up. So she had to find a way to get it back. Also she didn't want them to have it easy
