Collaboration vs Competition. We need this to move forward within science. The speed to which treatments are adopted is dependent on this

I don't see any method to cure autoimmune and degenerative diseases. Many cures are in studies but no phase 3 Clinical trials

Most often the text says STEM when the speaker says CIRM. Somebody should fix this.

These treatments are already proven and need to be made available to the general public at all levels of social status regardless of race or color. Economic or social status. And especially free of charge to United States Military veterans whether or not they served in war theatres. Umbilical Cord Stem cell treatment has already been proven in other countries outside the USA to be %100 regenerative and curative. Can these smart, driven, compassionate people please make these treatments available to Veterans and the general public?

Yup same as bone loss teeth loss and many other things to regenerate due to age or medical issues or bad extractions

Does it involve using another being against their own wishes or too young to give personal choice

Too ‘young’ to have a SSN and therefore be considered to have human rights ✅

My son aged 18 travelled from the Republic of Ireland to Florida 7 years ago. We fund raised over 20 thousand dollars for him to take part in a stem cell clinical trial for a severe visual impairment, bi lateral optic nerve atrophy
It was hugely disappointing that it did not work

they are still working on gene editing, it is very hard to direct precision gene editing. Did you try mesenchymal stromal/stem/signaling cells ?

@@neilmcmanus3727 we ran out of funding and my son ran out of hope deferred sadly
He and I both have the non degenerative type which would seem to be hereditary as a sister and Uncle also had it but none as severe as my son at 6/60

the focus I suppose was on Car-T cell therapy to fight cancer, not exactly stem cells.
What about translational regenerative treatment for the patients that have gone through heavy chemotherapy ?
What about the allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients, and the tissue damage done by ablative chemotherapy, and acute or chronic GVHD ?
I was surprised that the newly expanding treatments with mesenchymal stromal/stem/signaling cells (MSCs) was not brought up as a viable treatment regime, or of growing interest.
At this moment there are many clinics just over the border between USA and Mecico offering MSC treatments, also there are clinics in Cayman Islands, Panama City, Panama, Medellin Colombia, San Jose Costa Rica, and in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. This treatment regime is available in Europe, Germany, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam. But not in the US, this is almost shameful to not have this non-toxic regenerative treatment available to survivors of cancer treatment.
I went to Dream Body Clinic (DBC) in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, they have an ISO 9001 certified lab to produce fresh pure umbilical cord derived MSCs. I had 300 million cells infused for my chronic GVHD aliments, which resolved for about 10 months, I am planning to have another treatment. DBC has a TH-cam channel and you can learn about this newly growing treatment modality.

Are they able to use it for teeth 🦷 regeneration?
