My theory for the ducks is that he was fixated on the moment Charlie first laid eyes on one of his creations, the part where she sneaked in while he was working, and so he held on to that memory of her smile despite being estranged for a long time. There's also that line he sings, "I've missed that smile."
He’s still an angel at heart. He just wants the best for humanity. And even though he hasn’t seen the good side of free will it’s obvious that free will was still a good thing that he did and he still wants to do good on everything.
The creator Vivziepop does indeed have more content right here on TH-cam! It's called Helluva Boss and it's set in the same world as Hazbin Hotel It's got 1.5 seasons absolutely free to see here on TH-cam!
Charlie and Lucifer are the two most adorable characters ever idc they're practically the two most powerful characters in hell but I would still protect them with my life
I think this episode is great cause they could have made it like yall said where she’s too much like her mom. Instead it’s because she’s so much like him and he wants to protect her from the crushing depression and despair he suffered from. He thinks his presence would hurt because of his life experiences and didn’t want her to go through the same thing. Also, I had no idea Lucifer would be the most relatable character in this whole series.
YES been waiting for this episode. Lucifer is such an interesting character. He has become my favorite character in the whole show. The song ‘more than anything’ makes me cry every time. I was not expecting Lucifer to be a caring father, but I’m so glad he genuinely loves his little girl.
I was worried what kinda person Lucifer was gonna be, and to find out he is like this and truly does love his daughter but is broken himself by his past loses. I just love his character.
I guess you aren't watching the pilot then. Oh well, too bad. Anyway, When Alastor swears, you know he's pissed. And the venom he puts behind it is even more hilarious. Also, I never thought Lucifer would be so lovable or relatable. Given how many A-hole dads Vivienne has made, I was really expecting him to be another example. But no, he's a socially awkward goofball. You can tell he cares about Charlie and he's really trying to connect with and protect her.
Honestly I kinda don't want them to watch the pilot? At least not yet anyways. It's interesting to get the unique perspective of people watching the show that haven't seen the pilot first, I'd like that to keep up until they at least finish the first season, then it would also be more interesting to see them watch the pilot afterwards.
Alastor was gone as long as Lilith. People have been theorizing that he is linked to her disappearance, and that he might’ve made a deal with Eve. Maybe that’s how he gained the power to start taking down Overlords. I’m curious when this deal happened. It had to have been early on, surely. He’d know better now than to sell his soul. Also, ‘More Than Anything’ is hands down one of the best songs. It has earned so many tears from viewers, and is also visually beautiful. Lucifer’s reaction to the spears moving to be pointed at his daughter is so sweet and heart-wrenching.
I also subscribe to the 'Alastor is so strong bc he got that power from Lilith' theory. I also think the idea that Alastor only took such an intense dislike to Lucifer immediately bc he can't deal with others being stronger than him doesn't rly explain it fully. I think he spent enough time with Lilith to have heard her talking shit about Lucifer hence he was like oh this guy fuckin sucks.
16:05 so obviously lucifer genuinely loves his daughter. i think maybe lilith had something to do with charlie and lucifer's non-existent relationship. maybe lilith never allowed her to see him? maybe because lilith had dreams, and lucifer gave up? or maybe because lucifer is a softie, and lilith wanted her daughter to be tougher? or maybe he's just been so depressed that he's shut everyone out and never realized the damage. could be anything really. but im so glad they recovered their relationship because they both needed that.
I get the vibe that Lilith took Charlie after their divorce or separation and didn't let Luci see her. Their relationship seems super new, and both of them seem to think the other didn't want to see them.
Didn't think of this till now. It's because of Husker that we learn that Alastor leash, meaning his soul belongs to someone like how Husker is tied to Alastor. But how does Husker know that? He was a Overlord before so he knows what its like when dealing with Souls but still, how did Husker know Alastor is on a leash?
I’ve honestly been thinking that maybe it’s Eve and not Lilith. We got Adam in season 1, maybe we’ll get Eve in Season Two and being connected to Alastor would be a way.
Helluva Boss! Also takes place in the Pride Ring (for the most part) of hell but Imp city is in the second circle outside of Pentagram City (first circle of Pride). But they all exist in the same hell and you get to see the different levels and rings of hell, and meet the seven deadly sins who rule them.
Their is a theory that Alastors soul is binded to Lilth which is why he is helping Charlie as well as Rosie being in disguise. Also Alastor is was gone for 6 years and Lilth has disappeared for 7 year's.
This was an appropriate reaction to Lucifer lol Such a great dad. A lacking dad, but still great. I love how much they are alike as well. And another episode with great songs!
Vivziepop is using 7th Deadly Sins with this source of information material. Just like that in her hell you have 7th rings which are one under another and pride ring is on top has 9 cycles 1. Pentagram city, 2.Imp city; ... Lucifer (Fallen Angel of Pride), Satan (Devil of Wrath), Leviathan (Dragon of Envy), Asmodeus (Nephil of Lust), Mammon (Demon of Greed), Belphegor (Demon of Sloth), Beelzebub (Fallen Angel of Gluttony) But they all are mostly not angels too.
I find it funny how people who aren’t crazy about the show can collectively agree the mimzie should not have been in Hell’s greatest dad lol😂. Also so far your guy’s reactions have been priceless!
2:30 Imagine that you haven't seen someone in years, you don't know anything about them and the first thing they say to you when answering a call is HEEY B$#&@!

7:12 Lol it depends how involved you were 10:31 and it's cut but another sus look 13:50 you can see after~ 15:36 people wonder if she was trying to separate them-- for two main reasons 16:32 relatable 18:28 uhh idk about that
So uh...fun/not fun stuff to think on, Alastor died as a serial killer, and he frequented her club. There's EVERY chance he was hiding her body when he was shot since they entered hell around the same time. He very well may have killed her and that's why he's so close to her even now.
Mimzy died before Alastor, and definitely not to him. Alastor is supposed to be Dexter Morgan type of killer, who would mainly kill men (murders, rapists, abusers).
@@vortex1134I will say that the interaction between him and Mimzy around 14:03 is really interesting in a lowkey way...we already saw earlier this episode how Alastor responds to someone who openly insults him in a pretty cutting way - either the way he did with Husk when no one was watching or even to Lucifer, hijacking his song and hitting him where it hurts by flaunting his "dad that stepped up" position in Charlie's life when it comes to the family she's formed at the hotel and her lofty goals. Even if he doesn't believe it (and told her as much), he still has done work and even showed silhouettes of everyone as "the family you choose" whom Lucifer then calls "a bunch of losers." Yet when Mimzy dresses him down and calls him heartless and uncaring after already embarrassing him by her dragging her problems to the hotel, he remains calm and never even claps back at her. But if you look at his face after she blows up at him and walks off, his eyes are fucking livid...and I can't tell if it's because he had to put on some charade of caring about the hotel or if he really wanted to obliterate Mimzy in that moment for insulting and embarrassing him to such a degree but couldn't. Both reasons due to Charlie witnessing his actions, but carrying very different meanings: the first him being upset that he has to fake caring about Charlie and the hotel in general, but the second being that he has to suffer insults without resorting to violence because he does care about Charlie and the hotel, at least to an extent. And then we see his expression during Charlie's part of More Than Anything, talking about helping them...and Al's expression is actually incredibly soft. Sorry for the wall of text, but it's just subtle things like that that make Alastor such an interesting character. His expressions tell so much but also open up more questions about him. Hell, I even have a crack theory that the reason Alastor went so hard into Lucifer, and specifically targeting the Charlie's dad aspect, was a ploy to make Lucifer step up himself and his satisfied smile in More Than Anything was him seeing that bit of manipulation work out and the hotel now having Lucifer on its side for Charlie's sake...whether that be a part of whatever deal Al's is under or a further ploy in having Lucifer involved more in the hotel either to keep Lucifer around or to free up Al to do more of his own thing.
My theory for the ducks is that he was fixated on the moment Charlie first laid eyes on one of his creations, the part where she sneaked in while he was working, and so he held on to that memory of her smile despite being estranged for a long time. There's also that line he sings, "I've missed that smile."
It's funny seeing Lucifer's good-natured and creative tendencies still linger from when he was still an angel
He’s still an angel at heart. He just wants the best for humanity. And even though he hasn’t seen the good side of free will it’s obvious that free will was still a good thing that he did and he still wants to do good on everything.

Alastor - proving that there IS an asexual way of saying "your daughter calls me 'daddy' too".
That made me laugh way more than it should've lol

I love how he knows damn well he can't do shit to Lucifer in terms of actual power but boy his words cut deeper than any angelic blade

Razzle and Dazzle are like Keyky they are toys Lucifer bring to life.
Key key was from Lilith I thought
@@geminiqueen7388 I definitely think there's more to KeeKee than that, and yeah I also got the impression she had more to do with Lilith.
@@CandleLight129 Then why is she Lucifer's keyb;ade?

Maybe he's noticed changes in Alastor, times that Alastor has had to riegn it in where he wouldn't before.
This is why I'm still on edge about Lilith being the one who made a deal with Alastor
