First time i have to disagree with Caleb. Its hard out there. Even if you follow all the steps in saving. 16.50 an hour is hard to keep your checking out in above 300 with some money in savings, payments, mortgage, living expenses and such.

Watching these poor souls, it’s sad to me that people don’t have basic financial sense. Even when I was bussing tables I could balance my budget and make it work. I got really fortunate to be in a high commission sales job in the past 4 years and it transformed my income and financial picture massively. And Im capitalizing on that by investing most of what I earn, cuz my industry is also high turnover and high burnout. Save what you earn if you can, and when you earn more, save more, then save more and invest more. The investments will then generate more earnings. And rinse and repeat. And hopefully you don’t have to work till your dead. Good luck.
