I wish I could afford a textbook! Failed at "opportunity-spotting" I guess. Thanks for having Prof Micah on so I could get a gist of it, regardless. Another banger, CCC!
Great way to start the weekend guys. Bennett have you done any deep dive into Hex coin? I still can't wrap my mind as to why so many people treat it like a cult. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Is there any argument to be made that bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin? Thanks for all videos. I’m slowly going through them the past couple of weeks, thanks again!
Energy is fundamentally decentralized on earth and we human live on a fairly decentralized country on earth. What makes you thinks that miner from different country could collude ? Isn't this "softwar" as jason lowery puts it ?
he knows that mining power (hashrate) does NOT = consensus/control of the network.... that would be nodes, nodes = power in the network.... please tell me this
I was just thinking about how having a cap on the number of bitcoins is inherently deflationary if only because people inevitably lose their passwords. Its one thing to have a guy with like, .125BTC but eventually, given enough time, someone with like, 10% of the supply will lose access to their BTC.
@@CryptoCriticPod so, is it known what happens if that ever gets confirmed? enshitification is a phenomenon far beyond the internet. Hell one of the main thrust of bitcoin's sales pitch is that fiat money has become enshitified. It is a factor of monopoly power in general.
The unbanked are poor, been there, done that in the UK, and we are never paying fees to bank, Blockchain is not an option, no fee banking is the only option. That is what got me banking, a no fee (If in credit), no interest account, my issue was I have no credit history, because I will NEVER borrow money, and had no bank account. I still have that basic account, it's never incurred a fee, and always has money in it, because I spend within my means, and save a little week, on week that mounts up. Never had more than £5,000 in savings, but that allows cheap living, and gives bargain buying power, those in debt can't snap up. If you spend below your income, you will cope just fine.
Lol rip micah. What a smooth brain. I enjoy your pods to balance out my tube with a few bears but this is just ridiculous i cant even take any of what he says seriously

Intro with Bennett doing the introduction was a very bizarro world experience
Felt weird to do it too!

Great discussion. I'm genuinely curious if any of the participants have read The Blocksize War.
How can the miners take over bitcoin without the node operators? Didn't they already try tbat with bitcoin cash and failed?
Shhh. Let them keep going. No mention of nodes or mining pools
I love Cas’ jumper, it’s very Cas.

Energy is decentralized, miners centralize where it's cheapest
Globally

It’s very plausible that one person who had ~5% of the total supply has now rendered it inaccessible

Comparing centralized companies to Bitcoin is ignorance or dishonesty.

How to attack Bitcoin? Step on is have people face the reality it is security, as is Ethereum. Step 2. Wait.

Silly Wabbits… Forks would negate any of these “potential problems” with Bitcoin.
No, they wouldn’t, for the reasons we discuss about community schisms
