    That Olympus camera is choice! They have excellent image quality. Good job with this content. Do more. You’re good at it.

    Owen, great job! I'm sure you're busy, but I would encourage you to make more content! I follow Dan and watched his video with you. This was a very good, honest video. How was the trip? Any video? You can do it!

    I never comment on videos but you should lean in on the gear videos! You’re really good at it. Plus how cool would it be if you could do your own version of what Dan did for you one day?! I can see you going places with this content!

      It did excellent! Very pleased. I wouldn't wanna carry much more weight than I did in it though. I've got the 45L version and I think over 40lbs was close to pushing it.

    We just got back from there!! Did you see any wolves? We had a few encounters and someone even got their jet boil stolen by one 😮

    • @owenjahn

      Yes! We saw a wolf in Rock Harbor on our first night, had to scare it away from our campsite

      @@owenjahn yeah they're really brave!! Have you been there before? This was our fourth time, but have never been a wolf before. It was cool but also, that wolf stole the jet boil WHILE the guy was in his camp during the day 😳 a little concerning. I saw both of the wolves in the evening in our camp at Lane Cove and at Moskey

      @@rebeccamueller8790 one other time in 2019, but I believe there was only 2 wolves on the island at the time and we of course did not see them. Yes it’s a shame how used to people they are getting on the island!

    Good job, but bug repellent and using permethrin on your gear. You should have remembered with all those mosquitos attacking you.

    • @owenjahn

      I forgot to mention that I treated all of the clothing I packed with permethrin! Good catch, and you’re right, the mosquitos should’ve been a good enough reminder to mention it!

    • @NarcFreedom

      @@owenjahnShould be treated at least in the open air, away from beneficial insects, aquatic life, and cats. Use a mask. Inhalation should be avoided. Permethrin is acutely toxic.

    Relying on someone else for gear is foolhardy.

    • @owenjahn

      I just think it's thrifty but I respect your opinion. Keeping that line of thinking though... I was with a group of 7 and we are all family. We don't need 7 stoves, 7 pots, 7 first aid kits, 7 fuel canisters, 7 trowels, 7 rolls of toilet paper, etc. That would be foolish and a waste of resources, money, space, and weight.

    • @justjonoutdoors

      @@owenjahn Ah - family - in your video, you simply said, “group” - a family travelling together is a different story…

    • @owenjahn

      Yup! Extended family (uncle, cousins, etc.), several of them being first timers. I carried several "group" items such as one of the stoves, one of the water filters, some fuel, etc... so no biggie when I need to borrow a trowel or used their trekking poles at night for my tent :)

    That gear seemed really light, are you sure it was 20+ pounds?

    • @owenjahn

      Unfortunately I don't know what my base weight was, but all in with 7 days worth of food and 2 liters of water it weighed 40lbs. Weighed it on the island right before hitting the trail
