Daniel is turning more and more into a dilf 😂 He’s constantly teasing Drew in every interview, which he never did when paired with his female co-stars for interviews. We’re definitely in a new Daniel Craig era!
This interview is a unique look into both of these remarkable actors, who are allowing themselves to talk about things that clearly make them somewhat uncomfortable at certain points, yet they go forward; they don't deviate or stop the line of questioning. I'm fascinated by how people reveal their nervousness, uncomfortability, self-consciousness, like hand wringing, folding arms, tapping hands together, etc. the little things that often go unnoticed, things that the person, themself, is largely unaware of doing.
Watch "Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon" a brilliant film about the artist in the title. Daniel Craig plays his doomed lover George Dyer.
I saw the movie last night. I loved it. It is dark, sad, surreal, incredible artistic and original. I love the fact the setting was in Ecuador, my beautiful country. It is a powerful film.
I'm impressed by both of them. I really liked Mr.Craig before he was the best Bond ever. I'm so glad he didn't shut down after that series. I'm from low country South Carolina, and was pleasantly pleased with his performance and dialect in "Knives Out". Amazing talent.
That sounds ridiculous. Because your wife played a lesbian role in a movie, the partner knows what it is to play a gay role? They probably don’t know, but they do their best, and it can look good if they are good actors. Good actors can crawl into the skin of their character and let it look like real life.
That must be very difficult for you. I am in my early fifties, so likely not far behind you. Over the years, a lot of my personal life and career has involved helping and developing friendships with people in assisted living and nursing homes. Take good care of yourself. I will be thinking of you.
Daniel is amazing actor he is so picky on what he is going to be a character in movies i know he does not mind being Nude in the scenes of the movie b ut i known him in his movies since i was a teenager right at 14
Daniel Craig is the spitting image of my dad ( my Dad passed away 18 years ago ). So weird watching this man and not thinking of my Dad. I’ve not see this film and given its content, I think I might avoid it , for obvious reasons 😀😀😀
I can’t think of any openly gay actors who can fill theatres world wide ….. can you? Sir Ian is aged out of this role and Luke Evans is too young and lacks the gravitas of Daniel.
Sexuality is one facet of a multi faceted personality. Talented actors should play gay and straight characters irrespective of their own sexual orientation. Its like asking why an actor with dissociative identity disorder didnt play Sybil. Look at Precilla Queen of the desert. Hugo, Guy, and Terrance were all straight but perfectly cast for the roles.
maybe because they are acting??? tf lol. actors do uncomfortable scenes all the time. They are not gay, it's obvious it would be awkward for them at first
You make a good point. In our society people seem fixated on defining the success of a film by both attendance records (you hear it endlessly on tv and. radio programs) and the possibility of winning an Oscar. The whole thing becomes a competition, with winners and losers.
Not enough gay actors to play these roles....a horse will never be a cow even if that horse is an incredible mimic. The fact DC can pull off so many roles is just such a testimony to his talent for sure.
Why are you sorry? 56 and 31 is an age gap relationship so??? It happens all the time many many people are in relationships with a partner who is old enough to be their parent or vice versa. As long as both are adult and consenting what’s the issue?
It’s because there’s a general consensus that Daniel is queer & possibly in an open marriage with a queer actress. He’s implied this several times throughout his career but refuses to speak about it explicitly because he doesn’t like what he sees as the fetishisation & politicisation of ‘coming out’.
While a non-gay actor can play a gay character, I would rather they actually be gay BECAUSE THEY KNOW...and there's not an AWKWARDNESS that can translate on screen. AREN'T there plenty of gay actors to choose from??? 🙄
This will forever be the debate…unfortunately I don’t think much will ever change as we have seen time and time again straight actors chosen for these roles. I’m actually always intrigued how gay directors cast…and I wonder if they truly, truly believe in giving gay roles solely based on merit to straight actors … I’m very skeptical
Conversely, then no gay actor should play a straight character? That's ridiculous. It's called acting for a reason. Their job is to act. It's not a documentary.
@kitsworld How about a light skinned black person? Is that good enough? Or, maybe a dark Latino? Oh, I know, how about a black female? It's a fictional character. Ridiculous. BTW, there have been several fictional characters that have changed both gender and/or "race." One that comes to mind is Star Buck in Battlestar Galactica. Again, it's called acting.
Saw it. One of the worst, if not the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Went on forever and boring as all hell. At the end of the movie when the lights went on, everyone in the theater was looking at each other going WTF was THAT???
Daniel is turning more and more into a dilf 😂 He’s constantly teasing Drew in every interview, which he never did when paired with his female co-stars for interviews. We’re definitely in a new Daniel Craig era!
It’s all about chemistry ig

They don't like doing interviews. Funny you assume it's a queer thing.
What a great piece of insight. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the interview 🤍
This is something new for Daniel which I'm excited to see and its great to see Drew come up in Hollywood!!
Watch "Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon" a brilliant film about the artist in the title. Daniel Craig plays his doomed lover George Dyer.
Saw the film at the Toronto IFF in September, and loved it. Both actors are wonderful. Great interview!
I saw the movie last night. I loved it. It is dark, sad, surreal, incredible artistic and original. I love the fact the setting was in Ecuador, my beautiful country. It is a powerful film.
Dang he looks really good with longer hair
Daniel looks so attractive with this new hairstyle ❤
im so excited for this movie
Drew starkey is the future big star.
And Harris Dickinson!
What if Craig said "Well, take a good look at Drew. Wouldn't you enjoy it?" I would say it just to see Drew's reaction.
He is just natural. I hope to see him in action movies, westerns, even James Bond 007 movies.
I'm impressed by both of them. I really liked Mr.Craig before he was the best Bond ever. I'm so glad he didn't shut down after that series. I'm from low country South Carolina, and was pleasantly pleased with his performance and dialect in "Knives Out". Amazing talent.
They seem to have great chemistry lol 😆
🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈
Can everyone just shut up 😂
@ why are you opposed to free speech, commie?
The love scenes in the movie are very convincing both actors did an excellent job
They both are phenomenal in the movie
Great interviewer!!
I like to see this young actors acting with great actors
He is completely in to work mode but Daniel just in denial mode.
Damn, Drew is so my type
where can i watch this movie?
M4ufree if you don't wanna pay
Daniel Craig’s wife, Rachel Weiz in real life played a lesbian alongside Rachel McAdams so they both know what it is like to play a role like this.
That sounds ridiculous. Because your wife played a lesbian role in a movie, the partner knows what it is to play a gay role? They probably don’t know, but they do their best, and it can look good if they are good actors. Good actors can crawl into the skin of their character and let it look like real life.
What?
Daniel played gay characters before

Wonderful interview I am gay living in an assisted living facility

why is it awkward?? do hetero sex scenes get asked this also??
Yes
Is it me or does Drew seem like his mind is elsewhere at times during this interview? He seemed to warm up a bit more as it went on, though.
So I wasn’t the only one who noticed his mind was definitely somewhere else

I saw Queer with one other person. Neither of us liked the movie, but we agreed that Daniel Craig’s acting was outstanding.
He has come a long way from playing Geordie in "Our friends in the North"
How they handled the gay 'awkwardness' film scenes...can be summed-up in one (1) word!!
MONEY!! Lottsa money!!!😂 😵💫
What a cute couple they make!!
Daniel Craig is the spitting image of my dad ( my Dad passed away 18 years ago ).

I’ve not see this film and given its content, I think I might avoid it , for obvious reasons 😀😀😀
Finally we will get to see if Daniel can act, I mean REALLY act. Looking forward to this one ❤
He can definitely act
Check out Love is the Devil
MY absolute dream scenario is that I get cast as Daniels boyfriend in a film.
Interesting… will definitely see movie.
Craig looks older than his years .. he must be living it up with the 100 million banked from Bond 😁and Starkey looks younger for his age.
If they were so uncomfortable playing gay why didn't the producers hire gay actors??????????
I can’t think of any openly gay actors who can fill theatres world wide ….. can you?

Gay actors whether secretly or out in the open, often do straight roles with sex scenes too.
Exactly. Thank you. Is the word straightwashing?

Where can I watch queer ??
You have to Google it because it seem to being playing selective theaters.
It’s a Brilliant film
I,m sure they both enjoyed it very much
Daniel ❤
❤Fantastic❤ love from Finland
Amazing movie 🍿🍿🎥🎥🎞️
Leave the so called Oscar buzz out of the interview.👎
You make a good point. In our society people seem fixated on defining the success of a film by both attendance records (you hear it endlessly on tv and. radio programs) and the possibility of winning an Oscar. The whole thing becomes a competition, with winners and losers.
Did he just basically say the straight equivalent of “I don’t see color” by negating the gay experience for his own experience of being lonely?
Behave!
My opinion the movie was trying to go somewhere and it felled.
Painful to watch. HORRIBLE plot, scenarios, everything
Not enough gay actors to play these roles....a horse will never be a cow even if that horse is an incredible mimic. The fact DC can pull off so many roles is just such a testimony to his talent for sure.
No one knows the true sexuality of either of these men other than themselves and their closest confidants.
They look like father and son sorry
Why are you sorry? 56 and 31 is an age gap relationship so??? It happens all the time many many people are in relationships with a partner who is old enough to be their parent or vice versa. As long as both are adult and consenting what’s the issue?
Do you mean that you are sorry that you are so closed minded?
I don't see it
Once a person hits age 18 they can date an 80 year old if they want. Just the way of the world.
2 cute men
This is not my kind of thing. Wow
Awesome! Good to know, don’t watch it then. Totally loved it myself - I’m open to all types of movie experiences.
I'm surprised there aren't a slew of trolls attacking Daniel Craig for being a straight guy taking a gay role.
Because he is a such great actor, and these is a Big movie, from a great book

Hurlywood proves again what they can prod compromising whore actors into doing.
He also played gay in Love Is The Devil
It’s as silly as suggesting a gay actor should never play a straight role
Straight guys playing gay, so one is winning an Oscar. It’s apparently really hard to do.
While a non-gay actor can play a gay character, I would rather they actually be gay BECAUSE THEY KNOW...and there's not an AWKWARDNESS that can translate on screen. AREN'T there plenty of gay actors to choose from??? 🙄

They're capitalizing on the shocking contrast from his Bond roles.
