Hi - every now and then, the wonderful TH-cam algorithm throws me an odd little video for no apparent reason. This is one of them. And how I enjoyed it. A brilliant distraction from the massivel over complicated world we live in. Good job mate. Keep up the good work😊
That foam can also be found with TV's as the protector rap. I use it for resin projects as the resin does not stick to it. Talk to The TV shops after they do the large TV installs.
I have been trying to reply for a few minutes now don't know why its not saving anyways here is my issue all info is in the thread I am coilbrain in thread my aim Woody is to make a compatible coil for the Nokta velox one I'm thinking 50cm DD coil to gain a few cm of depth and to detect larger objects not really aiming for coins the following thread should give you a good idea I can really compress everything into a paragraph
Great video. It inspired me to open up a Tesoro coil and sure enough that little wire was broken. I plan to solder it and apply conductive carbon paint per your video. I'm curious about something, if my repair fails, could I sustitute another brand of coil. (Tesoro closed and coils seem impossible to find.) My Tesoro Lobo Super Traq is 18.75 kHz. Could I buy another 4 wire 19 kHz coil, (a Fisher maybe) and swap out the connector for the one from the Tesoro coil? Are there other after market coils I should consider?
Be wary of swapping vlf type detector coils as they are designed for maximum performance at a given frequency, go to geotech1.com for the correct information.
@@DetectorMods Thanks. After reviewing the cost of conductive carbon paint and recognizing my ability to screw up, I think I'll bite the bullet and buy an aftermarket coil designed for my detector for about $160.
Hey Woody was wondering if you could help me out with a project I'm working on I have a couple of questions I reached a dead end on the coil I'm trying to build
@@DetectorMods Go to Google Help and select TH-cam. Where it says "Describe your issue" type "Add subtitles & captions" and follow the results it gives you. You should be able to do what you want, caption-wise, from there.

Well, sir, you talked about some materials that cause problems with the coil What is your opinion about using liquid polyester with fiberglass?
I have not tried or tested it.
