We probably don't. Most programs that we didn't produce were supposed to be returned or destroyed when our contracts ended. But we can check on that. Glad to hear you love Comet & the Flash!
CW23, can you guys please release the MST3K KTMA TV23 master tapes? Nobody, not even Joel Hodgson can get them. Only you guys at Channel 23 up in Minneapolis have them.

Well, even though there are a few people still here from those days, a majority of the people involved with the legalities, contracts and so forth have moved on. And our station has changed ownership a few times. But from what I'm told, those tapes and copyrights, still belong to our TV station, as does the intellectual property of the show itself. As the person responding to social media, I don't really have a say in the legalities or how much of it is all true. I think the timing of the ownership changing hands as Comedy Central was stepping in, probably added to the fact some things slipped through the cracks of who owned what. A legal battle for another time perhaps. But maybe the tapes are locked away in a box somewhere we haven't opened yet. We did start tossing a bunch of tapes since we are all digital now. But we are digitally archiving things that seem to have some value...which is what we did with these videos on TH-cam. We still have a ton of tapes to go through...before and after the days of MST3K.
