I don’t think that’s going to work man, it will yellow with the heat and may catch fire

Great video, I'll be using this method to repair some small surface chips on my mountain bike. Mine are more of a rock chip on the surface, so I'll modify the procedure slightly. Most likely, I'll use the slower setting epoxy so I won't feel rushed.
    Definitely worth a thumbs up.

Lovely car. Great video clear and non waffling. This is exactly what I need to do to my splitter on my rs7 c8.

This is a great video, i just received my new hood and it had a crack on it so if it doesn't go well with the manufacturer I'll be giving my try at doing this to try and repair the cracks on it

I hope the manufacturer finds you a solution, but glad this might be able to help. Cheers!

I see that was minimal damage so for a bigger gash would you not recommend fixing? or would a replacement be the only option?

I think that depends on how big, and also how much do you care about aesthetics? I’ve used this stuff on bigger projects and when thick enough it does yellow.

that resin yellows very fast and dries hazy. I used it for some carbon repairs last week and it's already yellowed.

Really? I didn’t notice any haziness on mine but maybe I should put some UV clear coat over it to avoid yellowing

9 month Update, no visible yellowing on such a small repair. I’ve used this epoxy on other projects and correct it does dry slightly yellow. It may just be the outside layer that was exposed to oxygen but then when it’s sanded back it remained clear

After polishing it, you should ceramic coat it to seal it good

@@JordanPayneLV You should definitely clear coat it yes. Any carbon you do not clear will have issues with UV over time. If in the garage it will just take longer. If you park this car in the garage and are giving a 9 month update without saying that you should explain that detail. I had a gel coated(just epoxy basically) carbon part for 5 years on my car without issues. Then I put it outside for 5 months and it began turning white and peeling after only a few months of direct all day exposure. The garage does more than you think here.

Please don't use those goofy tips for the epoxy....just mix it with the brush
