    I’ve just started using the kaltik v2 frames with 64mm famus wheels really liking them so far

      30somethingBlades ! Yeah I saw these as well. They look great. But were a bit too expensive to try :) I am now sturting to get some “frame bite”, for instance doing acids. I am sure v2s have this issue fixed as they are not so crazy deep.

      Peter Norman it is a great skatepark! Look-up skateparks.dk before you come to Denmark as there are more cool places to ride :)

      @@VandKoala last time I was in Denmark I was like 11 I think... Very many years ago. We have some good out door ones and I'm blessed I live very near a small wooden one. The nearest inside one is about 40 minutes drive and I still have not visited since getting back on my blades. Don't know if its reopened yet since the shutdown.

      Inline Struggle thanks mate! I expect it is not a terrible tear. I can’t fully squat and do any farvs/bend my right knee to the right, other than that I am ok :)

    Great review man, props for vlogging in a second language, i find it hard enough in my first language. Might have been cool to have spread the skate clips throughout the review though, so we can visualise the point your making about the frames. Hope that makes sense. Thought this was really well filmed, edited and narrated otherwise with great shots of the frames. Subscribed and looking forward to more. Also so jelous of you having USZB as your local park 🔥💯🤙

      Chris Chadwick Inline thanks mate, very kind of you!
      I was thinking to do a follow-up video after riding these frames a bit more, and then use your advice of visualizing the key points :) this one was just pure first impressions seeing them out of the box and riding a bit for the first time 🙄
      We are super lucky having the brande skatepark 30mins of driving away from home! The school year will start after a week and trainings will resume there as well so we will most probably spend there a couple of days every week :)

    I just got a set of these. I've been skating anti rocker since 2002. 18 Years.....
    The control was amazing. But stuck and got wheel bite a few times on coping.
    Unfortunately all my local skateparks have square edges and it's pretty awkward to grind with these frames.
    I want to keep them. But the wheel bite was enough of a issue that I want to sell them on a day later.

    • @VandKoala
      @VandKoala  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Clark I can imagine it must be hard to transition from antirocker to flat after SO many years 😳
      I have been grinding them on a ledge two days ago - it adds a lot of pressure to land the tricks correctly. I did not have any wheel bite on coping though 🙄 at the same time my grinds are still very basic...
      Did you go 60mm or smaller wheels?

    I had the problem, that the couping at my poor pipe close to my home is to much into the pipe, so this frame doesn't slide, the h-block doesn't touch the couping. I hoped to learn Royals a little with this frame but frontsides and bicksides werent possible 😢.

    I don't know why but at least the ready-to-roll Stealths on the Kaltik website are listed as coming with aluminum frame spacers.

    Giving me a run for my money man, dope intro! Really sorry to hear about your knee. I totally agree skating flat being better for your knee. Just take it easy and it will slowly get better. It will always be something you are cautious of now but I don't find it holding me back too much. As for those frames, ugggg it's a mixed bag on round rails/coping. If the rail is thick enough and stays out of the groove then it slides well but if it is narrow the groove with squeeze the rail on two points and not slide for shit.

    • @VandKoala
      @VandKoala  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thirty and Rollin I have noticed that you are skating very impressive after healing your knee. It gives me hope it will somehow be ok. I can’t do farvs or switch royalles and some other things, but if that would be the only problem it is not the end of the world :)
      I will be experimenting with these frames. I guess it depends what tricks you are doing as well? 🙄 some copings were really thin in the skatepark and I was sliding quite well on simple frontsides/backsides/royales. I used wax as well, this skatepark is more or less all waxed. Have you noticed them “sticking” on some tricks more than the others?

    • @ThirtyandRollin
      @ThirtyandRollin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VandKoala Ya more h block tricks if you don't have them angled enough. It's just the V shape doesn't make a lot of sense. You want less points of contact touching the rail to slide fast.

      barbeque ribs thanks mate, very kind of you!
      Grinding is fun :) I found frontsides to be some of the easiest grinds when I began to learn last October. And before learning soul I would recommend practicing makio a lot. If you nail makio you will have all the soul grinds covered basically :) have fun!
