Revisiting this nearly two years later, long after I left the ProtonJon community, because Vinny discovered the Party Cruise rap just now and I and several other people in the Vinecord started reminiscing about the old days within Jon's streams.

Among the myriad of issues present, a lot of people on Jon's Discord were courting drama and trying to treat random strangers on the internet as their personal therapists, Jon was encouraging a lot of community behavior towards him that in hindsight comes off as creepy and intrusive (to put it simply, imagine Vlinny-posting mixed with the more excessive "like a champ" stuff), Jon acting out of spite more than he should and the community encouraging and mimicking that behavior, and the overall atmosphere feeling a lot more negative and disjointed compared to just a few years prior. From what I've heard from other former members of the community, there's apparently a lot of other people who fell out around the same time for similar reasons.
