Actually length of Transition curves mainly 3 divide in that he was solving the 1st method
In that 1st method the formula was Ls=v^3/C*R and another empirical formula is there in that case the formula is C=80/(75+3.6v) .
He was used the two formulas with combine

Rate of change of acceleration is itself known as Jerk. There is nothing as Rate of change of Jerk in Highway Engineering.
