Right here. Is the reason Ghana dey carry last on the world stage. Boasting about rap. A genre created by African Americans. Cant come up with your sound and e get mouth dey boast. 😂😂😂😂. Nigeria will always win cos they have their genre. Their own sound. Ghana can never win in anything entertainment. Can never be better than the Americans.😂😂😂😂.

What marvels most African Countries about Afrobeats is how Nigerian Artists pushed their genre, Afrobeats to the Global Audience. This genre dominates on almost all music platforms today and the Likes of GH find this unbearable...which breeds tactics aimed at pulling down Afrobeats' Global Dominance.

Afrobeats is not "dominating" it's a genre making inroads. All Spotify Nigerian streams last year was 17 million dollars . The total stream income was 9 billion dollars. While celebrating a 200% growth, let's be honest with where we are and where we need to go. Afrobeats is still a fraction of all music income.

Ghana isn't better than Nigeria in rap music. Nigerians abandoned rap music for afrobeats due to their success in Nigeria. Again, you can't have just one good rapper and think you are the rap base of Africa. Before Sarks, Nigeria had Mode-9, Elajoh, Naeto-C, Dagrin, and many more. Where were you people then? Wherever Nigeria set their tent, they take over completely. If we switch to rap same way we settled with Afrobeats, Ghana will be reduced to ground zero. I can assure you that.

So it's very good that Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Asake and other top Nigerian artists are not giving them any attention.

I just feel sorry for the woman in the studio. From her conversation, she is among those hating on Nigerians. As of early, 2000, a Ghanaian friend. Please, I should buy land, build and reside in Ghana. I refused, why? Because, I discovered, most of their conversation, was centred on Nigerians. The older ones, that was deported, in the eighties came home and painted Nigeria bad, and also misinformed the coming generation. Even many of the younger, generation never knew, their Ghana government. Deported Nigerian citizens, first. Even when many of them, came to the knowledge, they still blame Nigeria. I left Ghana, because I can't put up, with their hypocrisy. In front they laugh and smile with you, at your back they gossip and plot evil against you.
Their are still good ones, like the producer. My Emeka brother, I know they will hate you, for being Frank and truthful. Just becareful with your country man. Charli, becareful, trust know man. The funny thing here is Ghanaians rappers are mid honestly, you can’t tell sarkodie is the best rapper in Africa lol
Come on . Someone that majority of African don’t even understand what is saying and raps with twi . He has a nice flow that’s all.
Nigerian and South Africans have better rappers , I’m talking about lntelligent rappers with word play, double entendres, punchline, metaphors etc . I still repeat no rapper from Ghana came to bar for bar with Mode 9, MI, vector , AQ, Terry d rap man .
It’s just quiet unfortunately Nigerians are no longer big on rap anymore compared to in the early 2000s when we had tons of rappers.
The Rap community declined drastically when afrobeats beat started to gain momentum , that don’t mean we still don’t have rappers doing their thing underground.
Sarkodie has no legacy in Rap in Africa , maybe he has in Ghana . Do you even know what legacxy mean .
No rapper in Africa has a legacy in Africa , they may have it in their respective country , what did he do for rap industry for Africa ? Lol because he won BET? May I remind Mr kwadon Sheldon Ice prince won it first in the whole of Africa as a rapper ? And nobody is making noise about it.
Can sarkodie confidently do a 4000 capacity in 16 African countries and fill it up? So what is the legacy is this one talking about . How many hits songs dies sarkodie have that are popular outside Ghana, you lots should go and sit down with this over hype .

she's not intelligent at all, I love the fact that u said u gonna bring learned guests to discuss the issue. it is quite unfortunate she aint seeing wt u seeing, an industry thriving on controversy n negativity..seeking attention, and stoking rivalry that doesn't exist as is obvious our artists are mileages ahead...she is still in support of d diss... please let me educate her, and others who feel or think naija no dey do rap, no rap culture...i want them to fink again, Rap was in Nigeria before Sark dreamt of grabbing the mic yes! do u know of legendary Mode 9, please bruh, Mode 9, started the game, and others like Terry the Rap Man joined him. Even Naija's greatest rapper now, M.I. gives his flowers, he won't go near Modo. Yeep! mode 9 was there, doing it before M.I. came in, the awards he won at the Hiphop World Awards speak for him.
Away from Mode 9, rap definitely didn't make the splash like Afrobeats did. Nigerians consumed afrobeats more, which explains why rappers like olamide brought out their versatility, to stay relevant till date. that's why blackbonez nd d likes had to adjust nd accept the new reality. Afrobeat is the real deal not rap, like you said how far nd how well has Ghana performed with d genre.
