I’m very Sonia Citron. Two way connective wings are essentials for championship basketball, which can be proven by the dominance of the Liberty and Lynx. The three teams I want to see her on is the: 1. Chicago Sky: Sonia would be the perfect backcourt mate to complement Chennedy Carter. Her off ball shooting and extra versatility is something that the Sky need. 2. Dallas Wings: The wings need to being developing a team that has lineup flexibility and Sonia would help bring floor spacing next to Arike and Satou(if she stays). 3. Indiana Fever: The Fever need more defensive wing depth and Sonia would provide this need immediately. Also one day she could be a long term starter since she has more upside than Lexi.
I think because she is wnba ready, she might become better then we expcet her to be, she gives me Alysha Clark (from LA) vibes, i think she can fit very similar role, 6-7 off the bench or starter if weak on that position, and she has good coaching /team. (Bonus here that most of the Notre Dame guards tend to over-perform expectations and perform very well in the league) Might not have the greatest potentiual but sure does have the skill set and tools (tho not naturally gifted speed/jump/bball iq wise). She seem like a hard worker and good enough esp on the 52% on two, and most guards need 2-3 years in WNBA to start having good 3point % anyway, her FT being so high and above 90% + Field goals above 50%, as history would tell us a lot of this players develop very nice 3 pointer as well. I think who ever draft her will end up with player that has value rather then high risk =high reward/bust type of player, i think this is the player you get whne you already have starters/stars.
Perfect fit on the Fever or Liberty imo. I think she will go higher than people think in the draft. I see her being a lottery pick. She dies on screens like nobody I've seen, but I do think that can improve.
Thank you 👍 Now that I’ve seen Hunter’s Feature here on this player Sonia Citron, I think she’s fantastic. Talk about an overall Great role player that can fit into alot of Helpful Team Roles. I would absolutely love to see My Fever pick Sonia Citron up. And although as you said, Her screen work needs work but can improve. I think her abilities with the pick and roll and her great shooting ability from mid- Short range and able to Drive to the Basketball and move well, would Fit well into the Fever’s Fast Transition Pace. And that would leave Caitlin and Kelsey for sure on the outside Threats and Aliyah underneath. So I just personally think that she would be a fantastic Fit with my Indiana Fever. Thanks again for your comments.
Citron is a terrific player. As someone who has watched a ton of ND games so I feel qualified to speak on this, your analysis is pretty on point. She doesn’t have any glaring weaknesses - agreed that she’s not the most explosive athlete or the best handle, but that’s pretty much the extent of her weaknesses. She is VERY smart on the floor and flew under the radar for a while because she plays great unselfish team basketball. I don’t really see anyone else in college who cuts as effectively as her. She constantly cuts so that she’s in position for wide open layups in transition and half court offense - it’s just a matter of the PG finding her. She improves as a defender every year. I don’t think it’s exaggerating to say she played the best D I’ve ever seen anyone play on Paige. Solid passer as well. She always makes the right play. Would love to see her on the Fever but I think she could give decent minutes off the bench for several teams.
Citron missed 9 games (25%) last season, and she played about that many games impaired because team need had her returning before she was fully ready. That must be acknowledged when evaluating her explosiveness and shooting form, and it isn't mentioned even though you're showing video of her in the bulky brace.
Hunter, I truly enjoyed this feature of Sonia Citron and your Great Detailed work and Commentary. I did not know much of this player, but now after your Video Feature of Her, I really like her! Talk about a Player with a Tremendous amount of potential and a great Amount of various skills That can fulfill various roles on any Team. And With this amount of talent at her age, With so much more room, and potential to grow and improve, I could not imagine what she might be able to do down the road. I would just be over joyed to see my Indiana Fever Pick Sonia Citron up. I think she could be a key piece into exactly what My Fever are looking for in The Team Design moving forward. into 2025. And admittedly, I couldn’t help myself smiling in agreement when you commented about the similarities with Lexi, and the contrast difference between the 2 with Citron being Overall Much better. I had been thinking the exact same thing Throughout this video. As for Lexi Hull, If I had to guess right now, I would say that she’s going to be protected by the Fever along with at least 3 others I’m sure about, And those 4 Protected would be Clark, Mitchell, Boston, Hull. And of course I’m not 100% because I’m obviously not There in The Fever organization to know for sure, Although I do pay Great attention to alot of the Fever Managerial moves and Ownership, and Operations, Roster moves, those kind of things. There’s also a few players on the Fever that I’m not gonna lose any sleep if they get released. But I don’t wanna make this about the Fever. I just want to thank you again Hunter for a fantastic video of a Fantastic player with alot of Skill and Potential.
I think Citron will be a star in the W, and your grading of her should have been a 55. This young lady has one weakness and that is being too quiet and therefore not demanding the ball. In ten years we could be looking at her career stats in points, rebounds, and assists and the question might be asked if she is the Pippen of the W. Let's do the grading comparison with Horston: 1) Horston was a better playmaker in college and had the skills to beat her defender off the dribble but the outside shooting was and still is not her game. However, I am surprised to see the defensive improvement in the Pros. 2) Citron does most things better than Horston did in her college career, except for the playmaking skills and driving to the cup ( Yes, Citron was the playmaker when Miles went down in the 22-23 season).
Sonia Citron to the indiana fever would be fun to watch..she plays same style as Caitlin Clark. Both love to push the ball very fast, both have great court vision, both pass really well..both can shoot..
A lot of people mentioning the Fever and obviously it would be a great fit. Wondering what you think about her potentially playing the 4 in Indiana similar to Alysha Clark at times with Vegas?
@@HunterCruse14 I meant Indiana drafts her and then uses her as a smallball wing 4 at times. Playing the same role that Alysha Clark did starting in the last 3 games of the playoffs with Aja moved to C. Was wondering how you would see her defensively in that role? How would she be guarding 4s in the post, rebounding, as a low man etc? The offensive benefits are clear, just curious how you could see that role working on the defensive end.
I don't see her playing the 4 very much on that team unless there's a very specific matchup the calls for it, the way I see Citron playing on the Fever is either one of two scenarios: 1. Citron backs up both Clark and Mitchell, can play alongside either of them because she can defend, shoot, and initiate the offense. Can also back up Lexie Hull minutes if she gets in foul trouble. 2. She is so good that you can't keep her on the bench, and she completely overtakes Lexie Hull at starting Small Forward, and Lexie gets moved to first player off the bench.
I'd partly agree, but I definitely think she is a better play initiatatior/ball handler/slasher than Lexie is, she seems closer to Betnijah Laney-Hamilton in skillset than Lexie, in my opinion. She's been responsible for playing a fair amount of point when Olivia Miles was out for injury and she also finishes better through contact than Lexie also. I'm not ragging on Lexie, I just think she doesn't have as big of a "bag" offensively as Citron does.
wish there was a way she would be available at the sky’s second pick in the first round olivia and citron would be great picks

The problem is that Dallas doesn't give much playtime to rookies. But whether Golden State could pick her at #5 will depend on the expansion draft.
I’m proud of you brother!
Shedding a lot of light on the WNBA futures’ & as a lover of sports this is quite nuanced!
Thank you 🥹🥹

Fever better have contingency plans; as you said, Citron may not be available at #8.
She's rated high on several draft boards. I don't think she's totally being underestimated.
If she balls out in the tournament her stock will rise and it will be a wrap for the Fever
@@toysruskiddd Balling out in the tournament will mean that she won't be available at #8...

Sonia is a beast. He plays defense and has a nice shot. There's no doubt that she will make someone's team.
I’m in! She sounds amazing.

the pull up shot stats… ok she is like lexie hull in that aspect as well it’s mainly c&s

With the 8th pick in 2025 WNBA draft the Indiana Fever select Sonia Citron from the University of Notre Dame 🎉
❤❤❤😊
Yessssss
This doesn't mention she missed 1/4 of the season with injury then played another 1/4 with a brace while recovering.
2 vids same day whew
😤😤
Reminds me of a less athletic Rebecca Allen. Those type of players fit on any team
100000%
future fever
she’s not gonna be available at #7
@@survivorswapped7637you actually don't know that lol the draft hasn't happened neither has the college basketball season.
All I’m going to say is Marina Mabrey …. This is the same thing ppl said about her and now look ND puts players that are UPSIDE PLAYERS
Would love to see her on the Fever 💪
what are your thoughts on gianna kneepkins as a wnba prospect?
She’s on my watchlist. I have worries if she’s a W-level athlete esp post-injury but the shooting is legit
Yeahhhhh come on down to Indy Sonia! 🥰
Hopefully the sky take her with their lottery pick or if they trade back
They are going to get aneesah morrow and Te-hina Paopao with both of the fist round picks
@@aNumberOnepao Pao is good but morrow can’t shoot, they won’t take her
I agree with you citron won't fall to that second first round pick.
Chicago needs a shooter & wing defender like Citron fs
Chicago has 2 first round picks, they need to get a Olivia Miles first and then Citron.
another comp would be Lexie Hull, though she's not (yet?) on the level of Fiebich, Carleton, and Laney-Hamilton.

Indiana needs to take care ASAP
Which WNBA team do you think that she would fit in
Legitimately every team lol, but seriously, I’d love her in Indiana, Seattle FOR SURE, Minnesota, Phoenix, even Chicago too
I think the fever need to try and draft her .
Fever need to pick her up. She can play the 4.
Sonia and Maddy could end up on the same team
you think she could be available by the time the fever gets to pick?
Decent chance yes
She sounds like a Lexie Hull clone. Not sure if she fills an immediate need for the Fever, unless she falls all the way to the Fever in the 2nd round.
Sonia Citron you are an Indiana fever
If a team is unable to get their hands on Sonia they need to go get Aaliyah Nye out of Bama QUICKLY
