the anonymity in 12 step programs, especially NA and AA, is more about being anonymous in the meeting. the idea that it doesn't matter why it is that you're there or how long or short you've been going. by being anonymous, everyone is put on an even keel.
I understand anonymity at the level of the 12 traditions but what you are trying convey is misunderstood by me. Could you give me an example from text?

Noah Levine doesn't respect women in general, and has a fake degree from an unaccredited eastern private school that he passes off on people as having a "masters degree in psychology". The school he went to does not have the authority to grant degrees. I had first hand experience with him. If you express any honest thoughts, emotions, or humor, he will invalidate your point of view, belittle you, and call you emotionally immature. His problem is he can't handle or validate his own emotions, and therefor the only way he can relate to others who are comfortable with their own emotions, and who are comfortable with expressing them, is by calling them names and cutting them out. It's not emotionally immature to express your point of view and then ask someone for mutual respect. He can't be in a normal respectful relationship because he invalidates any female perspective as equal to immaturity. It is probably the reason why he is divorced. To me and to many REAL health professionals, it's MORE immature to pretend like you don't have feelings, or hide them in a sad attempt to "be a man" or to "show the world" that you're a big, strong man, when really you're experiencing valid emotions driven by valid thoughts. Most men live an internal lie and end up having early heart attacks because they are so afraid of their emotions. Noah Levine is a bigot who can't see anything past his white male privilege and perspective, who doesn't deserve to be in any leadership position whatsoever. His "masters degree" isn't even real. The "accreditation" association that supposedly backs "The California Institute of Integral Studies" DOES NOT accredit colleges. It says so on their site: QUOTE FROM THEIR SITE: "ACS WASC accredits K-12 schools and not-for-profit, non-degree granting postsecondary institutions." His degree is bunk, and so is his whole life, teaching, and persona.
Wow he makes so much sense. I have been seeking an alternative to NA and I think I just found it!!!!

You can go to both man go where u feel comfortable and where you get those most inspiration

that's been my feeling ever since I read his books years ago. he sounds calmer and happier than the average biker/bodybuilder though, doesn't he?
His direction makes me feel less attracted to his group as I a n not in recovery. Getting very narrow in that way.

Well for one buddhism doesn't teach a belief in a higher power, typically, except maybe tibetan which is not DPs lineage

Not from what I've seen in his online teaching classes. He answers questions from men and women equally and has great compassion for all beings.
