I grew up in such a family. Could not even wear nail polish. One day at age 17 I rebelled!! I put nail polish on and let my girlfriend do my make up and it was black lipstick. My parents insisted I was on drugs and dragged me to get tested (I wasn’t using anything. I was a straight A honor roll student 😂) When you get outta there and on your own you will be able to bloom and explore your own personal relationship to make up and beauty and self-decoration. If they love you they will get over it and if they don’t you’re better off even though it would hurt initially ❤️
Looooooove love loooove dark lippies, bright reds or black!! It makes me feel so fierce. I usually only wear eyeliner and a bold lip. I like the colourpop liquid lippies as well as their matte x lippie stix. I have recently purchased three maybelline liquid lipsticks and they are bomb. They have a nice precise applicator, feel very comfortable all day, don't stain lips, last all day even if you eat super greasy stuff (i just touch up around the insides near my mouth after a greasy meal if needed). Try wearing darker reds and browns before going into a black lippie if you are nervous. I have a very deep purple and it basically looks black. I think dark or bold lippies are so stunning. More people should wear them!
