I could not figure out how to open the lid on the pot. I had to watch your video to learn how. Thank you. I ran a water rinse through coffee maker, it was quiet and finished in no time. In the morning, I will make my first brew in the coffee maker . Thank you again for your helpful video.
11:19 AM, July 20, 2023 Hello, I am blind, and wanted to compliment you on your description of all of the features on the coffee pot. I've had this Black & Decker maker for about two years, the only thing I have not liked about it was that I wish it beeped at the end of the day and time so I would know. But thank you for the video about cleaning, because I could never figure it out. Someone said it would say Clean, but I didn't know how to do the clean. I had a Mr. coffee maker, which I dearly loved, but it broke. It had an actual clean button, and it beeped at the end. Do you know if there's a way to make this phone alert when you're done? Thank you so much again for being so descriptive. I really appreciate it. Most people do not think of someone who can't see well. And does the time go by minute or five minute and how about the hour? Does it go 12 1234 like that, or how? And do the minutes go 12345 or do they go 510 1520? 30:19
I always fill up my filter basket out of the machine with the coffee, (two reasons) Makes clean up easier if you spill some coffee from the scoop, and to shake it for even distribution.
Thanks for watching and your kind words!!! That was so nice of you to take the time and leave such a nice comment. Your kind words really do mean so much!!! I am so glad it helped and this is the reason I do my Videos To Help Others!!!! What is your favorite Brand of Coffee?
@@JustADad I'm liking my Black & Decker a lot more since your tutorial. It became obvious that I was not seeing the display very well. Motivated me to build a booster shelf for better visibility. That caused me to see the "Clean me " message. Thanks for that video also!
I wish I could share a picture on here. I got mine from my brother-in-law. Said that the pot wouldn't drain completely. Picked it up and it looks like the inside of the bottom had tried to explode then implode. Sounds like there's about two or 3 cups of water trapped in the bottom of the pot and I have no idea how to get it out. I don't know if it's getting into my coffee when I brew it or if my coffee is getting into the part that's supposed to be vacuum sealed. I have no idea how he did this. Other than that it's a great machine butif you have family and they can't count to potato it's probably a good idea not to take appliances from them.
Good videos since I'm looking for a half decent coffee maker. How do you rate this next to the Cuisinart Brew Central which you reviewed? Does the absence of a hot plate with the Black & Decker mean that there's a huge difference (lower temperature) when I have my second cup an hour and a half later? Would the Cuisinart be hotter? I'm leaning towards the Black & Decker, the programming looks straightforward, it looks as if when you hit BREW LATER every evening that it will remember the previous time you set for it.
The Cuisinart will be hotter after 2 hours for sure but not by much. Both are nice coffee makers. sorry I could not be more help but after that its kind of a toss up.
@@JustADad Your videos are a great help, and thank you for your comment here, I'm sure I will like the Black and Decker. It's not going to break the bank, it's just a different concept than the carafe.
@@JustADad I thought the same of You 😃 I really enjoyed your Video. I bought that particular model and I set it up with you fallowing your video and I had a great time, I felt like I was there. Gracias Amigo 🙏🏼
@JustADad ...well, unfortunately, it's brand new out of the box and I just ran the first carafe of water through to check it. Seems slow, but did get to 200F at the shower head and 189F in the carafe.
That's to bad it's so slow on bold brew. I've had a basic black and decker for 8 years...still does a decent job.. I'm not waiting 20 minutes for coffee in the morning, on top of grinding my beans. Good review...and your right black and decker is an under the radar brewer...
THANKS! Got my question answered by watching your GREAT Review! May buy now that I know it appears to reach the heat range to extract a good brew.....wish you had review of my other candidate, the Mr.Coffee Thermal 10 C. that has water temp of @ 205F.. I usally only make normally 2 Cups at a time and I see in the Trouble Shooting, in Manual, that making 2-4 cups only, it indicates might not be as hot as normal. I want a STRONG Brew to possibly be able to taste the coffee - at 82 my Taste Buds appear to have died before me!
Wow that is not good. Have you unplugged it? let it sit for a couple hours unplugged. Have you tried pressing and holding the clean button to see if it comes out. It might also be that your machine needs cleaned. The clean light comes on when your machine senses that its time to descale your machine because of mineral build up on the inside of your coffee maker. th-cam.com/video/pgauou0Dzxs/w-d-xo.html check out my video on how to descale it and let me know how it goes.

Si. Es normal. Lo que indica es que está en proceso. Una vez terminado, queda fija la luz azul del botón power y a su vez empieza el cronómetro de 120 minutos.

But overall that's my only complaint so far.
Terrible. We bought this. If you don't get the first cup as it's brewing it's not strong. By the end of the full brew it becomes like tea. Then it doesn't stay hot for very long. $60 and its going back to Amazon.
