    I'm very happy to be the new custodian for this motorcycle! The hard part is going to be keeping it under 1000 miles. 😄

      What’s the point of not riding the bike to keep the mileage down. That’s like not having sex with your woman to keep her fresh for the next guy. Ride it like you stole it!

    Man, that's clean. Watching all these demos reminds me of when I worked at a bike shop and was asked to start up all the used bikes and take them out for a spin. I was outside revving up two stroke dirt bikes making tons of noise running them up and down the street one after the other. The owner came out, looked at me, shook his head, shut the door and went back inside. lol

    Wow! I had a 1970 Kawasaki 100cc Trail Boss just like that. different color. I was 13 in 1970, what a bike! what great times.

    The engines on y'all's bikes always sound amazing. Best sounding engines that I've ever heard on any bikes, be it street or dirt. Impressive!

    Whoa that bike is badass. When I was a kid growing up every body in my neighborhood had enduros. Of every make and models. Those were the best days of my life.

    My first bike was a KE100, I rode that thing everyday for 6 years straight, only ever had to put gas and oil in it, maybe twice I changed the spark plug. I would absolutely buy one again 👍

      You are lucky...i had a KE 100 too and even though i bought it brand new it was the WORST bike i have ever had.....it would cut out in the rain,battery wouldnt hold a charge,it was wired ass ways so the high and low beam functions on the head light were reversed, it spat the baffle out,the ignition switch fell out of it and i noticed 1 day that 2 of the 4 bolts holding the back wheel on were missing and the 3rd bolt was half way out while the 4th bolt had started to work itself loose...have never bought another Kawasaki since and never will which is a shame as i really do like their KDX enduro bikes but my expierence i had with my KE has soured my views on this companies quality control.....and renember i bought it BRAND NEW....i could understand if it was a used basket case that was never taken care of but it wasnt.

      @@damien5748 Did I say mine wasn't brand new when I got it ?, I bought it still in the crate. Maybe yours was assembled on a Friday or something 🤷🏻. Same though, I like the KDX alot, would really like to get a street legal one but they are hard to come by.

    • @damien5748
      @damien5748 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IrnMaiden304where abouts do you live because here in Ireland competition enduro bikes ARE street legal....as for my KE i reckon it was assmbled on a monday morning by a team of employees at kawasaki who all went out on the piss on sunday night and over did it and were still drunk when they turned up for work on monday morning.

    • @IrnMaiden304
      @IrnMaiden304 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@damien5748 The U.S., there are versions of the KDX here that aren't street legal, but they can be converted to but most likely not all of them ( or other bikes for that matter ), I've never tried to do a conversion so I'm not 100% sure of the legal process and every state has different rules from one another. Sucks you had issues with your KE, I was young and abused that poor bike everyday as stated for 6 years, but it kept going and never left me stranded.

    • @damien5748
      @damien5748 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IrnMaiden304 dont get me wrong as we have actual 'street legal' versions of them here and they have the letters "SR" in their designation but they are sold as dual sport trailbikes and not emduro bikes because they have full street equipment and even passenger foot pegs fitted but the ACTUAL full on real deal kdx (baiscly a detuned kX with head and tail lights fitted to it) are ALSO street legal.

    That sticker says Kawasaki East, Amherst street, Nashua, new Hampshire. I had a 75 Kawasaki G5-100 and lived in Merrimack. I used to go to Kawasaki East at least once a week in the summer for parts for my G5-100. I also bought a couple bikes from them, they were great guys! This bike gets me thinking..

    Had one almost identical except my tank was green. For the life of me I can’t remember what year it was but I think it was because the crank broke within the first week I had it. Unfortunately I bought it “where is, as is”. (got screwed) Learned a lot since then…lol

    I had a Kawasaki kc100 ,it had insane acceleration and the speedo stopped dead at exactly 60mph ,she was a beautiful reliable/quick little baby 🙏❤ that must be a KE with the same rotary disc motor.

    I work with an older gentleman and he has the same bike but red in color with title and owner's manuals. he rode it into his barn one day just before winter set in and that's where its been since about 1980................1500miles on it......... He sold it to me for $500 last week...., I haven't even seen it in person only photos, I pick it up next week , he's been digging it out for the last 2 weeks little by little... To be honest my original plan was to just buy it and flip it to make some money but I think I might try to fix it up and have some fun with it around town..... (Gilbertsville PA)

    Oh wow I just commented on the first one from 6 years ago that's cool to see you had yet another one. Oh wait I see by the mark on the tank this could be the same one? Anyway I can't wait to get ours up and running. PO noted that it was fouling plugs but we know why that is and it's pretty easy fix.

    That was my 1st motorcycle, Kawasaki Trailboss. The rotary valve 100cc would keep up with the Suzuki or Yamaha 125cc.
    The High/Low range was interesting but not very useful as top speed was only about 25-30, halve of high range. The high range had plenty of power offroad.

    Never heard of a 2 speed transmission especially for a dirt bike. I'm glad some old rich dude bought these up & preserved them. A true trip down memory lane for us boomers! Ken is it a high-lo w/ 5 forward gears?

    That bike looks like it runs pretty good for a 100cc. Hauling ass down the road with that much weight on it. One of my best friends had one of these when were about 13 years old. He rode it to death! I had a 71 Yamaha AT125 MX. good old days. What kind of tires are those! Brand and model? They look good on that bike.

    I paid $ 500. CASH FOR A NEW ONE - THE EXTACT SAME BIKE. i ASKED THE DEALER IF HE WOULD THROW IN A PAIR OF BUMPER RACKS SO i COULD TAKE IT HOME AND HE DID. NEVER USED IT ON THE ROAD JUST DIRT TRAILS AND IT WAS A BLAST ESPECIALLY GOING UP STEEP HILLS IN LOW RANGE GEAR. LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO SELL IT.
