- in dream's smp, wilbursoot and tommyinnit have been exiled from the nation they founded, l'manburg (now manburg). the new president, jschlatt, treats them like a distant memory, a relic of the past. their friends are trapped under his rule. and in the following two weeks of preparation for battle, after much thought, wilbur realizes there is only one option left. to blow up the entire nation and everyone in it.
i found this concept really intriguing, so i made it my mission to write them an original song before the manburg festival, which is tomorrow. what drives someone to destroy what they created? at what point does it become okay to betray the people who care about you? the people who look up to you?

this song is about letting go anything you thought you could believe in, its about someone who was betrayed and backstabbed, its about the cold blade of the real world. A world where the dog eats the dog, a world where everyone is only on their own in the end. but thatw only my opinion, think about that song however you like.
It's the first song about Wilbur's corruption that doesn't make him mad or insane, but as a relatable character. Of course that's what Wilbur meant it to be that he's mad, and he's losing his sanity, and he wants to blow everything up, but I think it's a really interesting point of view. I like to think it's how tommy sees Wilbur's corruption. I really like how you made Wilbur's plans understandable, yet included him losing control. And of course there's the beautiful singing, and just the song itself is amazing. I usually don't tear up from stuff, and I have to force tears to come out. this time, it was way easier than usual.
and that's why I love this song.

Where most songs tell a story of a violent man this one tell as story of one of a broken one full of regret.
In all truth I loved this song the singing was wonderful and I love the picture it paints in your mind.

yep I think that their inherent violence needed for L'manburg to be made, adding in to the revolutionary/rebellion struggling lit fire of destruction in Wilbur's character which I feel is most definitely in conflict with his own goals. But in the end destruction and chaos are not his goals it just what he fight against making it a lose battle against violent entropy. Wilbur's corporation is not just against his allies but himself too.

Maybe we misunderstood Wilbur’s intentions. Maybe he saw something we didn’t. Maybe he saw that there would never be peace in L’Manburg, so it had to go. Perhaps it was all of the loss crashing down on him making him appear Insane. *Maybe Wilbur was right?*
But this song truest highlights that he was not only a man losing his sanity, but a man facing loss and grief. It’s truly beautiful, and it really can make you think deeper on Wilbur’s point of view.

I love how your voice sound, its very soft and heartbreaking. Definitely did breaking down of Wilbur justice.
The way you portray Wilbur's sanity breaking to pieces. Its truly a heart wrenching sight. When you sang the part 'My memories are melting to foam' makes me think that Wilbur's insanity is causing him to not remember his happy memories. Fire also plays a crucial part here, as TNT is legit just fire. Its almost as if the fire frm the TNT are melting his memories, meaning that he no longer remembers them anymore, leaving a shell of hatred and spite.
I think that the phrase 'The seasons are shifting my dear' means like Schlatt's reign will end (like how presidency has to go through reelection or smtg idk). I also love how you put Tommy's role in the song too through the phrase 'on your face, the light dies as you gaze up in fear', like he is both scared of Wilbur and the exploding of L'Manberg.
In essence, this is a really pretty song and i cant wait to hear more from you! (Do a one hour loop while you're at it LOL) This is indeed, POG CHAMP

This song is so beautiful. From the first notes, from the first time I heard it, I knew this would be a favorite of mine. It’s got such a melancholic feel. The tones alone speak so much.
Wilbur’s character in Dream SMP is so deep and honestly sad... This song perfectly captured the whole situation, I just can’t stop listening to it. In my opinion, he’s the most tragic character in Dream SMP, he lost his home, hope in anything and then died and turned into a ghost with amnesia. Now he is nothing more than an echo of the glorious past and it’s genuinely making me to tear up a bit. He always had something good in him but fate has broken him by all means. He cared for his son, family, friends but it ends how it ends after all. It’s just impressive how complex and well written the character from Minecraft SMP roleplay is. Anyways I would like to say you’ve done an amazing job! I’ve been listening this songs for weeks and aahh it’s so good... Thank you for this masterpiece, you’re very talented and deserve a bigger recognition!
I love how this shows a more soft side of Wilbur, something a lot of songs don’t talk about. This is so good! I love the chord progression, it definitely gives off a sense of hope.

Watching this a couple months later really makes this more compelling, not less. Most of the lines really fit Ghostbur, weirdly enough.

I think this song applies to more than just Wilbur's insanity
"this city of blackstone and wood, with rubble and dust in the places we stood" hits harder now, because while old L'Manburg had blackstone walls, new L'Manburg was primarily wood, and this song can apply to both versions, with both Wilbur and Tubbo, the two different versions that both got blown up.

really good, it's nice to see Wilbur as anything other that a madman for once. After November 16th, after tommy's exile, after Mexican lmanburg finally became El rapids, this song puts in perspective how far we've come.

This hits so hard after the 20th and the multiple wars (major dsmp spoilers stop now if your not caught up to the 20th) it feels like wilburs last lullaby to the world he’s left giving his last bit of advice going from person to person
He wasn’t a villain, he was just insane, and this displays that perfectly. Quiet, bittersweet with a hint of melancholy...
This song is so gentle, so sweet and heart wrenching and it makes it so easy for us to feel Wilbur’s (his character’s, at least) pain and melancholy with all the losses he has suffered. This is absolutely beautiful and I hope this gets a lot of attention because you’re so underrated!
Criminally underrated...I am a huge fan of musical theatre and this song could genuinely be from any big time musical. And I am usually pretty generous with enjoying things of different levels of quality (as this only is a fandom for Minecraft youtubers) but this is literally among the top level of quality and it makes me so mad that this isn’t more well known oh my gosh

This is so beautiful. If I had to describe this song with one quote it would be, "My L'Manburg, my unfinished symphony forever unfinished. If I can't have it, no one can!"
It gives you such a good glimpse into why he did what he did. He was in pain and lost so much, this song shows that, not the forefront of his madness. I love it.
I only listened to this after Wilbur sacrificed his life on the SMP for L'manburg to die in peace. Looking back, this is exactly how the character was played. You perfectly displayed the characteristics that made Wilbur the person we know on the SMP. He didn't want to destroy it, but he had to. L'manburg is a symbol of neverending war, and it's destruction is a symbol of peace in death. L'manburg had come a long way since it was a simple drug van, but it's mere existence was, just like Techno said, a funnel of greed. It needed to be destroyed for war to cease, but only after Schlatt died, because if Schlatt remained in power, then he would come back stronger. My L'manburg, my L'manburg, forevermore My L'manburg.
I forgot to mention, your voice is beautiful! You should definitely keep writing music, because you did very good on this one, and I'm sure that if you keep it up, good things will come your way.

Woah what how did I only find this now?? This is probably one of my favorite dream smp based songs. I love that this song shows a different side of the whole situation. This goes very well with one of the monologues Wilbur said on why he feels like a bad guy (which made a lot of sense actually). The part where he talked about how Jshlatt's probably giving Fundy the respect and maturity that he never did hit pretty hard. His insanity is a result of loss and hurt and I think this song did a fantastic job of showcasing the more hidden sad side of him that just simply misses it all.
I was listening to this for the fortieth time and realised that this actually works really well as a Ranboo theme after Dream, Phil and Techno destroyed L’manburg for good
