Kalyan Vs Karjat Local Trains Race Out of Mumbai

A drizzly morning saw me travel to Kopar on a Kalyan-bound local to meet up with friends. My focus was on getting a few clips with sounds from the traction motors as the train accelerated out of each station. Turned out to be a good morning for me - Kalyan's WDP4D roared past towards Mumbai with the Konkan Kanya Express and shortly thereafter a Karjat-bound local caught up with my train and raced us till Thane, after which my train sped on towards Kalyan and the Karjat-bound local went on its way.
