The Thai magic is highly eclectic, so yes there are bound to be "Taoist Talismans" and a strand of "Taoist Magick" being used in the coffins.

To be honest Hindus in India used to worship him and even still if you go in a tamil temple or Orisa temple you will find navagraha idols

The ritual was arranged by the abbot for her and her team. Surely all this was already approved by the abbot so why are you so critical?
