A relaxed, informative and great video, I really enjoyed it particularly as I'm going to be doing the same journey as you in August, flying Virgin Upper Class for the very first time on the A350-1000 LHR-JFK. PE on the return. I all looks amazing and I can't wait. Just hope they don't change the aircraft! Thanks :)
Oh - how times change lol. My first flight - which was to LA - was with Laker Airways. I sat at the back, under that damn tail engine on the DC10, so I could smoke all the way. No lounges on that beast! Enjoyed your video.

Nice trip report! I was scheduled to do this flight on the A350 (in Upper Class) as well but Virgin changed the aircraft to the A330-300. I ended up changing the flight to the A339. :)
I had similar going LA in September. Suppose to go A350-1000 but change to B787-9
I've flown upper class a couple of times and it's fantastic. Haven't flown the A350 yet but I'M sure I'll miss the bar on the A340s. Their lounges at both JFK and LHR are terrific.

crew of Virgin is amazing like most other crews I think (but not always they are!). the 'old' lounge was a bit better in my humble opinions, but alas±

Really nice video Zach, looks like the crew took great care of you. The delay would've been tough for those 14 pax the FA mentioned, but at least you got to spend more time in the lounge :) There are so many of these Virgin A350s at JFK, so cool that you could fly on one!

A350-1000 still the plane I need to fly on and will complete cycle of going on all Airbus planes. I was scheduled fly to LA in September last year but changed to B787-9
Great report. I am always eager to try Virgin but am very aware they may sub the scheduled A350 for the older, smelly-feet-in-the-aisle configuration in Upper Class which I just loathe. BA flies nonstop to my hometown, Denver, so their business class must suffice for now.

ODD QUESTION: Going from JFK TO LHR - Virgin Upper. Will have 10 hour wait at LHR. For a 10 hour connection - does that mess up luggage where it gets forgotten about, or is it usually ok. Thanks
If it is checked to your final destination, you shouldn't have an issue

Well, the A350 might be the newest tow in the skies, but the A380 is clearly quieter than this one!
But not the most fuel efficient several airlines decided to retired them early
@@remuel1 …still the most comfortable from a passenger perspective.
…and the A380 is still efficient on busy routes where they can take advantage of the extra capacity.

Nice flight but I have a hard time understanding that it is worth the price asked for it, as it is just a 7.5 hours flight. You get a lounge access, better legroom, a larger screen, a few cocktails and a meal that would barely cost $60 in a restaurant. If the price is just peanuts for someone extremely rich, of course. If not, we’ll, not worth it ImHO
The only reason people go is because they are not paying for it, their company is, so they don't worry what it costs and what it's worth doesn't come in it

I find the quality on the BA A350 so much better than VS. The suite, the food, the colour scheme just more classy. VS is good but BA wins when it comes to this aircraft
I feel that BA’s A350 has a better seat but virgin wins everywhere else by a long shot!
Not at all, my most important for me is the crew and the onboard service, i find BA crew a bit distant than the VS crew,
Great video but the size of the print was a bit too big for the screen a commentary would have been a lot better but well done 👍👍 anyway
