@josepha3805 Just like how Helix matresses can straighten out your back. See, I have been using their products for a while now, this is why I took this chance to tell you about it! Absolutely regardless of the money I may or may not have received to place this ad... I mean recommendation!
As a low end costco employee I have to sit through these yearly reports and one thing that comes up every meeting is that we DO NOT advertise costco. We have 0 marketing budget and instead rely on word of mouth. So these guys might not be paid by costco to shill us they are in fact our marketing strategy.
Word of mouth has a lot of power, if you can readily provide a product or service which people think is good, they'll talk about it and recommend it to others for free. The original Doom from 1993 is my favorite example of this. Very little money put into advertising (just a few magazine ads), then everything else was up to the shareware demo, the first third of the game given away for free, with people encouraged to make copies for sharing with friends, and iD Software giving discs with it for free to retailers, telling them to sell it for a few dollars. This was a considerable sample of a cutting edge and high quality game, and it was for you and your friends to try for little to nothing, countless people gave it a shot on school and work computers, and the success was rousing. Mail orders for the full game came flooding and it made the developers fabulously wealthy.
As someone who has never been to a Costco, this checks out. I have never seen a Costco advertisement in my life, but am constantly hearing from people how great and fun of a place it is.
It is honestly so refreshing to see one of these where the kid isn't getting abused, or theirs some dark secret behind the scenes. It's literally just some people making videos cuz it's fun.
See, this is what the internet should be all about - introducing the most interesting, most charismatic people to the world who otherwise would never get a chance. These guys RULE and I'm much happier now that I'm aware of them.
Cringe or not one day Justice is going to look back at these videos and really appreciate the good times he had with his dad, and at the end of the day that’s all that matters
I'm one of the most cynical people when it comes to things that are considered "wholesome" but actually cringe, but I actually think the Costco Guys was funny. It reminds me of the days in high school when we used to go to Walmart in the middle of the night and joke around and have fun.
I only saw the Boom or Doom of theirs shared on X. No opinion on the content itself, I simply found it wholesome for the dad to just have fun with his kid.
I've never heard of these guys before, but I'm really glad the secret life turned out to be pretty wholesome. I'm used to "the secret life of" videos being an expose where the subject gets exposed as some sort of serial killer. My dad used to love to go to Costco on Sunday mornings/early afternoons and try all the free samples. That was his lunch. lol
A friend of mine shares almost every new vid these dudes make. We went from brainrot content to seeing this dudes and it's such a different feel LMAO. I'd definitely give these dudes a BOO-BOO-BOO-BOOOM!!!
The biggest issue I have with kids in these sorts of positions is that there are no laws or protections in place for kids involved in social media with their parents. Not accusing this guy of doing anything wrong, ofc-- he at least seems like a decent guy and his son looks like he's having fun-- but unlike child actors or performers, this industry is far from regulated, which means they're more vulnerable to being exploited.
"Former" professional wrestler. We all know no wrestler is ever really done with the business. Watch as he gets the itch again and uses this Cosco Guys momentum to get even more momentum than he had in his first run.
Finding out the Costco dad used to be an indie wrestler gave me the same level of shock when I found out the guys that say "DA VINKY" are actual indie wrestlers as well.
@@nonsmarts660 They still go by the Voros Twins and they wrestled in indie scenes long before the Da Vinky meme popped up, they were even in an episode of AEW. I kinda want to see what other meme guy turned out to be an indie wrestler as some meme-indie wrestler universe 😂
A big dude with charisma who can cut a promo that grabs your attention and makes you want to see more in less than a minute. If anything its a natural crossover to short form content, especially stuff that kids would love.
I understand the reasoning why. Everything is a joke and nothing is ever really genuinely wholesome online. But at the same time, the Costco Guys seem to be having a great time. The kids and father seem to have an amazing relationship. And if people are too jaded to accept that, than maybe they need to go eat some Costco hot dogs with their dads (if they have any).
There's a huge difference between family vlogging channels and these kinds of videos. That mostly being that the kids wants to be on camera and that they're performing. There's no coaching them to look "sadder" for the camera after their dog died, or recording their reaction to being blamed for making a mess on the carpet when it was really the parents who did it "as a prank." It's just some kids doing bits that they want to do for the camera.
Completely off topic but, can we appreciate Costco not raising the prices for their food in this age of hyperinflation? Especially their pizza and hotdog!
Not to vomit my own personal trauma, but as someone who had a dad who took off when I was about Big Justice's age, it's cool to see a kid and his dad just having fun and doing stuff together. I remember asking my dad to do stuff with me when I was younger and he was always so busy, so I can't help but project a bit when I see stuff like this. Maybe someday they'll have some regrets, but I find it all pretty fun and wholesome.
I'm kinda glad I'm on tumblr, a social media site so utterly unmarketable that no one would ever go there to become an influencer, and where our most famous users are "that lady who stole human bones" and "the human pet guy".
