Thanks for being transparent about the job and new role. Now i know not to quit my job when i pass my boards lol. Thanks and very good content.
Love your videos!! Make me feel somewhat healthy ❤
LOVE THE GLASSES JAZZ
thank you for sharing this!
no problem!!
when you discuss patient panel. does your job build that for you? or do you find patient who are in need?
Hi Jas! It’s my first time seeing your video. Is this your first job since passing your board certification? I am also a PMHNP and I just passed my ANCC board exam. I prefer seeing my patient in-person but I am also open to WFH job opportunities.
That intro was cute
if possible would you be open to breaking down your pay?
i am curious to know the financial aspect of this profession? thank you!
does anyone know where she got her classes lol
Hi Jasmine! I graduate from the same school this year April. Thanks for sharing your experience thus far, I def plan on keeping my per diem job or even working part time until I have a solid patient panel.
congrats, that's so exciting!!! yes, definitely recommend keep an RN job at first and/or having savings especially if you take a 1099 job!
did you have psych experience as an RN before becoming a PMHNP? I'm wondering if it's a lot harder without specifically working in a psych center (Also interested in PMHNP w/out prior psych experience).
Was your program all online?
@@kimberlygutierrez6923 all lecture was online and clinical was in person!
in my experience i did not have psych experience other than what i had seen as an ER RN and i've been able to acclimate fairly well!
Do you mind sharing what company you work for? I am having the hardest time securing a job as a new grad PMHNP. It sucks
Did you have prior psych experience
What state are you in?
Hi Jasmine! I am very interested in psych NP and have a couple questions for you. Did you have to work in psych or have some sort of psych experience before entering your program? Also did your program provide clinical placement? If not, was it difficult to find preceptors on your own? Thank you so much in advance!
i worked only as a psych tech and an ER nurse prior! it had clinical placement assistance but it was mostly you looking for placement yourself. i live in socal so there are alot of clinics, but since there are more pmhnp student now its getting harder to find preceptors from what i've heard!
@@JasmineJthere are tons of pysch np programs now! They are pumping us out fast
