Y know, there already more simpler module for this called Running led (Flip flop), it doesnt need motor so it consume less energy, less space, and more safe from physical bump 😅

You can also use this system to convert DC into AC using transformer. Increase the frequency of the wires in circumfarence and make odd even conection in to the transformer when you start motor DC on off frequency generated and make transformer to generate AC current. 🔥

Just use a donut shape metal plate and cut it into two pieces and turn the motor faster. Or you could just take a second motor apart and use the brushes and commutator and remove the wire from the armature and replace the armature with slip rings.

You would connect a reasonable sized capacitor across the motor terminals. The size would be dependent on the motor used. Make sure the moving wire is always touching one LED wire, but not two. Very difficult. It might be better to use a flywheel rather than a motor.
