As always I love spending the day with you . Being 81 now and living in an apartment I no longer have my flower gardens like I did when I lived in Montana . I love how beautiful and relaxing and peaceful your videos are. And I especially love seeing all the kitties! I am a cat person and have 2 currently. One that rescued us (short hair black cat, Midnight) and one my husband surprised me with as a kitten in 2022 (Scottish Fold named Ziggs). Ireland has always been the number one country I want to visit some day. Some of my ancestors are from Ireland. And I’ve always found it to be absolutely beautiful. I truly appreciate your artistic style of videos, they have a magical feel to them that radiates peace and love. ✨ 😊

The daffodils, crimson hellebores and the red branches of the Dogwood are so beautiful! The Dogwoods in the U.S. do not have that vivid red stems/branches. Does yours bloom with white blossoms? Mr. Pup is so adorable. The cats in the hay...no words, lol. The garden looks great!
Yes! The reason I bought it was to bring some colour into the garden during the off- season, as its stems turn bright red in the winter months. During the summer it’ll have a lot of green foliage and white blossoms. Looking forward to seeing it in full bloom 🥰✨💕
I just ADORE what I see❤!! I have created myself a BIG garden here in the N Europe, being inspired by Cottage Gardens. I have lots of mixed borders with lovely Roses and perrenials in them. Right now I plan to do some transplantations like those you are doing in your garden. I am also mainly a Feline person, with 3 cats and a lovely King Charles! It’s Portuguese Laurel: my father-in-law planted it maybe 20 years ago and it grows so fast! We have to give it a good chop once or twice a year to keep it manageable. It was very high about two years ago but we brought it down a good bit to let light in. It has a lovely flower that grows on it in the summer that smells just like sweet frangipane🥰💕✨
@@LostForest Ahh - alas, it is only hardy to zone 7 and I'm in zone 5B! It really is a beauty! Online it shows it has a red berry also? Frangipane - one of the best flavors ever! Love it so much! I can't imagine a flower with that scent - it would make me hungry 😋
I was hoping to be able to get out to my garden for some starting chores this weekend, but it's snowing again?!! It's March! Unusual for us to get snow at this point, it's not going to stick, but is still too cold for me to want to start gardening chores. :) Guess I'll just draw up the plans for my new garden. :)
We usually get the crazy weather in April, where we see sunshine, rain, hail, snow and sunshine again all in the same afternoon. Our areas sound very similar.. What’s with the water bowls? We can’t have water collection in our gardens in Panama 🇵🇦 because the water breeds mosquitoes and we have dengue and malaria in some parts of the country. I’m always checking for water collecting. My outdoor cats have water tanks to drink from and even that I have to check. Love your fur babies I have over 10 rescued cats on my property.
The little water bowls are for pollinators to drink from, whereas the large water bowl is a feature in the garden. It has a solar pump to keep the water moving, so no mosquitoes can lay eggs. I’ve never seen any here but if you’re next to a lake then they can be found, although here in Ireland they don’t carry any diseases or malaria, they are just a nuisance!

I’ve had so many tea breaks the last two weeks! The garden prep is powdered by Lyon’s tea 😅. The thalictrums (I moved two separate ones) are 2-3 years old, they seem to love the sun and rich compost and grow huge here in the summer!🥰✨💕

@@LindaCostelloHinchey to lock them up indoors would be a cruel life. They don’t go after birds or stalk other wildlife as they are fed by us and don’t have the instinct to hunt. Our birds here are also well cared for with feeders and homemade bird boxes. I’m not sure why you would unfollow when I care deeply about our wildlife and ecology, and my channel is dedicated to it and celebrating working in tune with nature.
some people think of nature as fairytale sweet. predators are a part of nature. my cat even though she only gets outside on a leash still catch mice. birds are too clever. dogs can be a problem for rabbits and their young. dogs should be under control in that season.@@LostForest

For the garden videos I’ll always wait and work/shoot on the dry days. We get a mix of weather here too, not quite as bad as the west coast, but we do get plenty of rain in Cavan! I would normally shoot studio videos on those days 🥰✨💕☘️

I just found your channel this past week and I absolutely love it so much! ❤ I have been playing tons of your videos in the background during my work day (I work from home in the USA). I love how beautiful and relaxing and peaceful your videos are. And I especially love seeing all the kitties! I am a cat person and have 2 currently. One that rescued us (short hair black cat, Midnight) and one my husband surprised me with as a kitten in 2022 (Scottish Fold named Ziggs).
Ireland has always been the number one country I want to visit some day. Some of my ancestors are from Ireland. And I’ve always found it to be absolutely beautiful.

The daffodils, crimson hellebores and the red branches of the Dogwood are so beautiful! The Dogwoods in the U.S. do not have that vivid red stems/branches. Does yours bloom with white blossoms? Mr. Pup is so adorable. The cats in the hay...no words, lol. The garden looks great!
Yes! The reason I bought it was to bring some colour into the garden during the off- season, as its stems turn bright red in the winter months. During the summer it’ll have a lot of green foliage and white blossoms. Looking forward to seeing it in full bloom 🥰✨💕

I just ADORE what I see❤!! I have created myself a BIG garden here in the N Europe, being inspired by Cottage Gardens. I have lots of mixed borders with lovely Roses and perrenials in them. Right now I plan to do some transplantations like those you are doing in your garden. I am also mainly a Feline person, with 3 cats and a lovely King Charles! I just feel we would be gardening friends , if I had the chance to live close to you !!❤❤❤💕🎶🧚

Gillian - what is that beautiful green hedge growing between the cottage garden and the moo trail? Wonder if that's something I can grow here. Mr. Pup looks so handsome in his new coat and the kitties are so sweet playing together. I think Charlie is a little bundle of fun - he'll keep those other kitties young by messing with them! It’s Portuguese Laurel: my father-in-law planted it maybe 20 years ago and it grows so fast! We have to give it a good chop once or twice a year to keep it manageable. It was very high about two years ago but we brought it down a good bit to let light in. It has a lovely flower that grows on it in the summer that smells just like sweet frangipane🥰💕✨
@@LostForest Ahh - alas, it is only hardy to zone 7 and I'm in zone 5B! It really is a beauty! Online it shows it has a red berry also? Frangipane - one of the best flavors ever! Love it so much! I can't imagine a flower with that scent - it would make me hungry 😋

I was hoping to be able to get out to my garden for some starting chores this weekend, but it's snowing again?!! It's March! Unusual for us to get snow at this point, it's not going to stick, but is still too cold for me to want to start gardening chores. :) Guess I'll just draw up the plans for my new garden. :)

We usually get the crazy weather in April, where we see sunshine, rain, hail, snow and sunshine again all in the same afternoon. Our areas sound very similar.. What’s with the water bowls? We can’t have water collection in our gardens in Panama 🇵🇦 because the water breeds mosquitoes and we have dengue and malaria in some parts of the country. I’m always checking for water collecting. My outdoor cats have water tanks to drink from and even that I have to check. Love your fur babies I have over 10 rescued cats on my property.
The little water bowls are for pollinators to drink from, whereas the large water bowl is a feature in the garden. It has a solar pump to keep the water moving, so no mosquitoes can lay eggs. I’ve never seen any here but if you’re next to a lake then they can be found, although here in Ireland they don’t carry any diseases or malaria, they are just a nuisance!

I’ve had so many tea breaks the last two weeks! The garden prep is powdered by Lyon’s tea 😅. The thalictrums (I moved two separate ones) are 2-3 years old, they seem to love the sun and rich compost and grow huge here in the summer!🥰✨💕

@@LindaCostelloHinchey to lock them up indoors would be a cruel life. They don’t go after birds or stalk other wildlife as they are fed by us and don’t have the instinct to hunt. Our birds here are also well cared for with feeders and homemade bird boxes. I’m not sure why you would unfollow when I care deeply about our wildlife and ecology, and my channel is dedicated to it and celebrating working in tune with nature.
some people think of nature as fairytale sweet. predators are a part of nature. my cat even though she only gets outside on a leash still catch mice. birds are too clever. dogs can be a problem for rabbits and their young. dogs should be under control in that season.@@LostForest

For the garden videos I’ll always wait and work/shoot on the dry days. We get a mix of weather here too, not quite as bad as the west coast, but we do get plenty of rain in Cavan! I would normally shoot studio videos on those days 🥰✨💕☘️
