Summer car, garage kept, 1 owner... after watching a few of your videos I jumped all over it!! Amazing vehicle, such a cool time capsule in life. So much thought went into the design of the teggys!! I’m trying to find a manual integra as a winter ride... You’re officially an “influencer” now. Thanks again 😁
Probably the best video explaining everything true about the throwback of owning a DA! Picked one up as a daily and I freakin love it to death!! just subbed!
Hello fellow DA owner! Glad you enjoyed the info I provided. It really is the best little car I've driven. I didn't give the motor enough credit though. Sure it's low on power but it really uses every bit that it has through the entire rev range. Every now and then I dream of a K20 swap with AWD but then I come back down to reality. Enjoy it bro!
Noooiice indeed. I need to spend some money on it now since I'm not sure where certain parts are at. Think I'm just going to do every seal, hose and belt with a full tune up just so I know it's good. She may have 178k on her now but she has a lot left to give. Thanks for watching!
Thank you sir! Much appreciated. And that's the plan, even if the engine goes, I'm swapping something else in it. The cost would still be cheaper than buying anything newer and it would definitely benefit from a few extra ponies under the hood. Glad you liked my edit!
175K miles for a 27 year old car, this is relatively few miles. You're probably driving it a lot more lately since it's your daily, I'll bet the car is happier being driven more! Thank you for sharing!
You're not wrong. There's a fine line between letting it sit to let it last, versus letting it rot. I agree, it's not many miles considering the year, and this engine is known to just keep going as long as its maintained. I plan on swapping the engine if anything major happens to it. I'm not letting this one go. Thanks for watching!
Phew, I've been making it a point to speak more clearly. My previous Legend had people asking me if I was "doing okay" more frequently than I liked, this one doesn't prompt people to ask those questions so I know it's nice. Thanks for watching bud!
I'm currently pulling the motor on mine, it's a bit of a journey. Like yours it's been repainted so it's got quite a bit of shine for such an old car. And the people who owned it before me were hacks so I'm fixing alot of their mistakes along the way
Not gonna lie, kinda want the engine to go so I have an excuse to put something else in. Another 30hp would do the car a lot of justice. Amazing what a splash of color can do for an old car, I even look back at it after I park it. Luckily I'm the 3rd owner but the previous owner changed the headlights and I have some weird issues because of the jdm lights. Cruise doesn't work and I think it's because he stole some wiring for them to work, and my high beams are always on so I feel like a big a-hole at night.
Don't do what I did when I saw my Legend and smile like an idiot ear to ear when looking at it. Do you know how many miles? If it's mint, I think $4,800 is a steal considering it'll only go up in value over the years, but shhhh, don't tell the seller that.
Mine has been sitting for two weeks due to the rear caliper but i'm fixing it tomorrow and couldn't be happier to get it back on the road. Keep the dream alive bro, i'll do what i can from my end.
Thankfully it wasn't, I'd still be crying if it was the nice one. I was cocky when I had two of them, like it would never end, but now, I'm treating the nice one like it's the last one on earth. Funny, I didn't consider this a beater because it looked so decent, but you, sir, are correct.

What upgrades are you looking into? I bet it's running damn well still. I'm not a fan of red cars either but it's the car that makes it work. Like a Lambo in yellow looks tight, but any other car looks like a taxi. Glad you digged the video, thanks for watching.

I slightly misspoke when I said it has zero storage, I meant up front because the hatch allows me to fit pretty much anything in this tiny little bugger. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing, I have always had a soft spot for older Acura’s and Honda’s. I love that red also, I don’t see a lot of them in that color out in the northwest where I live.
I picked up a 92 Integra RS 5spd that's pretty clean with some rust in similar spots, same color, same color wheels. It was LS/VTEC converted with some other add ons. Exhaust on it is a little janky but I plan on fixing or replacing it. My gripe is the dashboard rattle on it. It's really there until higher RPMs and it only has 137k miles. It's an interesting car and I like it.
If it's mechanically sound, you have a good base to start with there. Is that a gsr motor then? All my car needs is another 10-15hp and it sounds like you got that. I had a similar exhaust issue, besides it being embarrassing, it would hit all over the bottom of the car. Sending some wild sounds through cabin, I couldn't take it. I also have a crazy rattle on my dash at idle but I thought my idle was off a hundred or so rpms. The second I'm on the throttle, it stops. If you get solid suspension, you'll love it, but maybe not above 60mph.
Just finished installing a Stage 2 Action Clutch and ACT lightweight flywheel on my 1993 LS DA9 this week! Picked up them Black Friday Deals. Been dailying it for over five years surpassing 265K miles on the chassis so far, rocking stock B18A1 with perfect compression in all cylinders! 👍 mine is grey
Very nice! How's that new clutch feeling? I'm always afraid to put money into a car with that many miles, let alone a full tank of gas but as my friend said, if you can kill a b18, you have a special set of skills.
Very nice! That car could use that compared to the stock feeling. I wanted to get my clutch upgraded as well but hesitant to drop money in it right now. If the youtube thing kicks up, I'll go nuts with it. But till then it's going to be the stock little Integra it is. Enjoy it buddy!
@@Altek1 Just visited this video again after 3+ years! Clutch is still feeling Solid, now chassis is at 291,000 miles. Rust is going to be what takes this thing down. It's lived a hard outdoor life around winter and salted roads and would require a fortune in bodywork. I'll probably look for a donor Integra in the future and swap parts to that. 😁
In search of another one because I I dogged mines to 260,000 with stock catalytic converter barely passing every 2 years. Brakes. We're great with the ABS on a GS but drove it over 100mph countless times and redline to open up consistently from 91 to 2003 wish I kept it! Best coupe I ever owned never gave me problems from long and short strips! Good video open it up and not granny shift that gem. Likes driven hard n check oil occasionally!
Ha, well good luck getting it. For $800, I'd take the risk. Worst case, is the chassis is good, you have a good shell to do what you want. Good luck getting your hands on it!
Man, I bought a new 93 RS back in the days. It didn't even have a radio, but it did have air and 5 speed. I traded it in years later with 115,000 miles. It had original clutch, and the front brakes were half worn, rear brakes was 90%. I have owned Honda made ever since. I have been searching for a 90 - 93 Integra but never found a nice one.
I have a few friends with Sonatas and they've been pretty solid. Honestly, I'd consider a used Rio just to beat the hell out of it or if I ever needed to get airborne in a car, hah. They're just so low in price. I've actually been keeping my eye open for an LS400 but nice examples are going way up in price, I blame bring a trailer to be honest. Thanks for watching and commenting as always bud! Hope you're well!
When I had a built Honda I always compared it to an escort on Craigslist. They can take a pounding all day/night and next day get up and do it all over again. Being 32 I'd look foolish in a Honda, but I'd love to build a turbo setup.
I know but it's the mileage that gets me. I'm nearing 200k and even though the motor doesn't skip a beat, I just can't beat on it like I want to. Thanks for checking out my channel bud.
I bought and picked up, for a friend, a 1995 Rover 620 in Manchester, England a few weeks ago and was very surprised to find a Honda engine inside. Turns out that Rover and Honda worked on it together as Rover wasn't doing well financially. It was a red car and looks so similar to the Integra of this generation. At least to me it does.
The hatch does give it a surprising amount of room to move things. I was able to fit 4 wheels and a jack in the back which I didn't think was possible.
Loved the video pal, another great one with a car I always loved! Looking forward to the end of COVID so we can get to filming part 2 with the other Viper, and maybe even get you into one of my videos. Think all ALTEK fans would love seeing you get your butt kicked in the gym after a proper drive in the Viper. 🏎💨🏋🏻♂️👍
Nice car, my family had a 91 Integra that was purchased from the original owner for $900 around 2000. My dad drove it many years, and I remember random people trying to buy it from him. Unfortunately, it met it's end a few years before I was able to drive it when a truck hit it doing a u turn on the Thruway.
This is such a great video, gives a lot of info about the car. I'm looking forward so saving some money and trying to find such a car as my first one so can you think of some suggestions for me ?
Trust issues mainly 😁 It's kind of a best practice thing, since it links to my personal address. And when I review someone else's car, they usually ask me to do it.
Good good video and good review, although it would have been appreciated to see at least one 0 to redline acceleration. Also if you plan to drive your car daily just grease the clutch pedal hinge.
Haha, it can't be hard to find a destroyed Integra to be a project car as well: www.autoblog.com/cars-for-sale-detail--3872975011287124763-Acura-Integra-1993 That one even has a crate so you don't need to buy the drivers seat 😃
Oh man, I hate when that happens. Sadly I do not. I've actually avoided doing any engine work on that car short of oil changes and spark plugs because it's just so damn tight in there. Best of luck finding it out bud!
The tensioner for the timing belt went, engine went bust on me. I had a junk yard pick it up for $200. I would have liked to part it out but I didn't have the space or patience to do it, sorry bud.
@@Altek1 no problem .she's old but I had to very agree with you on your first video I love my car.30 years and she fires up every day. Your video are awesome.
Damn you even got the armrest! My DA and most others don't have any :'(, also if you really do daily it that often, I'd suggest heading over to NaytonTech, they have a cupholder that replaces the compartment under the radio, and it works perfectly for me.
Ha, the previous owner put that in and i didn't know how useful it was until i took it out to fix the ebrake (which i then realized i didn't need to do that to get to it). One 10 minute drive and i pulled over to throw it back in. It's amazing how much it makes the drive comfortable. Thanks for the cup holder suggestion. I've purposely avoided that one because i figured it would just cover the screen of my head unit. I know it blocks the buttons on my fathers 95 Integra, and it's surprisingly annoying. Just did the front brakes and calipers also, besides some rotor noise i have to address, this baby is running like a champ! Thanks for watching!
any upgrades on the wrx since the last video. I am the original owner of a 2013 wrx with about 32k miles. My engine failed as well but Subaru fixed it. I am finally ready to do some mods.
Damn, only 32k! I assume it was fixed with all stock components? I'd be a bit hesitant about adding power if that's the case, it's hard to trust. I haven't done anything else yet but considering suspension soon since that's the only drawback. I just hit 70k and it has a ton of bodyroll compared to when it was new. What are you looking to do to yours?
Funnest car I've ever driven was probably a beat up 87 Corolla station wagon. It had no right brake pad, made stopping hilarious. I'm trying to find me some serious old clunkers to get on video, but I'm right there with you bud.
Very nice. That's a good price. What kind of condition is it in? How many miles? I'm very happy with mine still, but I refuse to start it in 10 degree weather so I haven't driven it in a while but the last time I did, it purred like a kitten 😁

Just need to do your research first. Keep looking for an 03 Mustang GT, they're out there, but it might be more of a project than what you're looking for based on my quick searched. Got some plans for new videos in the works, glad you dig my content bud!
Your videos are outstanding. I recently purchased a 99 integra coupe in part because of previous videos you’ve had about integras. Big fan of Altek here in Indy!!
Huzzah! Success story all the way around. How many miles on the 99 you picked up? Awesome to hear you like my content, more to come Matt, much appreciated!
124,000 auto teggy. Drives like its brand new. Vogue silver. I found it in northern Illinois and had it shipped to my house.
Altek totally agree! Haha will do, thanks!
💯🙌❤️ Absolutely love this! My first car was my baby, Acura Integra 1991 black lowered with hyper black wheels. The shit was noiice
Noooiice indeed. I need to spend some money on it now since I'm not sure where certain parts are at. Think I'm just going to do every seal, hose and belt with a full tune up just so I know it's good. She may have 178k on her now but she has a lot left to give. Thanks for watching!
I'm a subscriber, a member of the notification gang, and I loved this video! You can probably drive this car to 300K or more.
Thank you sir! Much appreciated. And that's the plan, even if the engine goes, I'm swapping something else in it. The cost would still be cheaper than buying anything newer and it would definitely benefit from a few extra ponies under the hood. Glad you liked my edit!
@@Altek1 Smart man!
Damn. This is 100% CLEAN baby 👑
Thank you sir!
What a fun review, no matter what, love these 90s Hondas
Thanks bud. I do too, I have a few more I'd like to add the collection, let's see how far I get.
Watching this makes me want to drive mine right now. Another clean integra!
It's such a fun little car. I really don't give the power enough credit, it really does get up and go when you get on it. Very impressive little ride.
I love it you said financially inadequate. I fixed the typo.
I said financially inadequate, sometimes I speak too quick and it comes out all mumbly 😁
I liked that intro you make me want to keep my 2005 v6 camry
I found a 91 RS 5 speed in mint condition for 4,800. I’ll talk em down when I get there but man I’m glad I found it. Not gonna let it go.
Don't do what I did when I saw my Legend and smile like an idiot ear to ear when looking at it. Do you know how many miles? If it's mint, I think $4,800 is a steal considering it'll only go up in value over the years, but shhhh, don't tell the seller that.
Altek I’ll send you some pictures of the car tell me what you think
Hit me up on ig @altek1
I love my teggy... I really haven’t been able to drive it yet but man it’s true you really don’t see too many da’s...
Mine has been sitting for two weeks due to the rear caliper but i'm fixing it tomorrow and couldn't be happier to get it back on the road. Keep the dream alive bro, i'll do what i can from my end.
My dream car, only in white
Love seeing old Honda beaters in decent condition. Sorry to hear about your legend...I hope it was the dirty one at least!
Thankfully it wasn't, I'd still be crying if it was the nice one. I was cocky when I had two of them, like it would never end, but now, I'm treating the nice one like it's the last one on earth. Funny, I didn't consider this a beater because it looked so decent, but you, sir, are correct.
@@Altek1 didn't mean any offence partner, it is indeed in pristine condition - I just refer to all 90s Honda's as beaters. Sorry bud, it's not you, it's me🤫
Al what’s happening man? Love the videos per usual, how’ve you been? Hope you and the fam are safe, thanks again for the content and I’m looking forward to seeing more in the future. You’re the best! Keep on drivin’
This car is practical and very pretty
Hi Altek, are you still making videos? they are great, hope you will be making more soon.
Thanks buddy. I took some time off for my son but I do intend on making more videos. I have a few things recorded, just need to get to editing them. I appreciate you checking out my channel.
DA INTEGRA! The Integra is a “Legend” pun intended
I LOVE your Integra! Great video once again, Altek.
As always Claudio, thanks for checking it out and chiming in! Working on the next video now, a 1989 Alfa Romeo Spider.
More videos on this car please. Love your reviews!
I need to get some oil leaks addressed on it, then I'm considering autocrossing it. I'll definitely have more follow up videos either way. Glad you dig my content, thanks much for watching!
Thank you for sharing your car and experience 👍🏽 I can relate to a lot of it owning a 2000 Civic SiR (EM1) here in Toronto 🇨🇦 .
I have a 91 5 speed black nice wing on it 160,000 original currently working on some upgrades this is the only car that I would drive in red it looks really good with black trim peaces I'm not a fan of red but I would definitely own one in red
Really enjoyed your video 👍
What upgrades are you looking into? I bet it's running damn well still. I'm not a fan of red cars either but it's the car that makes it work. Like a Lambo in yellow looks tight, but any other car looks like a taxi. Glad you digged the video, thanks for watching.
@@Altek1 so far I've put in a competition stage 4 clutch light weight fly wheel Hasport mounts in anodized red an injen cold air intake aem fuel pump still need more stuff but I'm trying little by little thanks for replying 👍
I love it, just a little hatch that anyone can appreciate
I slightly misspoke when I said it has zero storage, I meant up front because the hatch allows me to fit pretty much anything in this tiny little bugger. Thanks for watching!
The DA is the best , beautiful car well kept 🔥🔥
You make great videos keep them coming
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing, I have always had a soft spot for older Acura’s and Honda’s.
I love that red also, I don’t see a lot of them in that color out in the northwest where I live.
Appreciate the video Hank Azaria twin.
Hah, I'll take it. Thanks for watching bud.
@@Altek1 Feels Amazing! A little stiffer than stock pedal feel and smooth engagement for a Stage 2. Greatly matched with ACT 12lb flywheel!
You just don't see these integra no more, I think it is one of hondas best body style and being 92-93 obd 1 itll last for years
She is a beaut!
Thanks bro!
Likes driven hard n check oil occasionally!
i may buy one of these. one owner 289k miles and been well maintained.
I want to say that's very high mileage but the b18 is known to last if properly maintained. How much are they asking?
@@Altek1 800& my boss actually bought it lol and he says it drives amazingly well for nearly 300k. im trying to convince him to sell it to me lol
Ha, well good luck getting it. For $800, I'd take the risk. Worst case, is the chassis is good, you have a good shell to do what you want. Good luck getting your hands on it!
@@Altek1 yea worst case my bosses son in law has a v8 out of a 90s ram with 70k miles on it i could buy to put in that little car lol
I love this integra, I miss mine every day but at least I drive 96 integra 4 doors RS .
Next car i buy is going to be a Japanese (Honda or Toyota)... Getting tired of my UNreliable Hyundai...
Good vid as always
I have a few friends with Sonatas and they've been pretty solid. Honestly, I'd consider a used Rio just to beat the hell out of it or if I ever needed to get airborne in a car, hah. They're just so low in price. I've actually been keeping my eye open for an LS400 but nice examples are going way up in price, I blame bring a trailer to be honest.
Thanks for watching and commenting as always bud! Hope you're well!
Great video! Just subbed
Thanks buddy! Much appreciated!
I have a 91 integra gs with leather power windows and locks sunroof. A/c and heater work. Its my dailey driver.
Nice! How many miles? I do wish I had the GS-R, the car could use just a pinch more power.
@@Altek1 almost going to hit 200k
Great looking car
always liked the rear window on these cars
When I had a built Honda I always compared it to an escort on Craigslist. They can take a pounding all day/night and next day get up and do it all over again. Being 32 I'd look foolish in a Honda, but I'd love to build a turbo setup.
these engines are rev happy, don't be afraid to push it a bit
I know but it's the mileage that gets me. I'm nearing 200k and even though the motor doesn't skip a beat, I just can't beat on it like I want to. Thanks for checking out my channel bud.
@@Altek1 no problem, I've always loved to see other peoples opinions on cars
Great video thanks
I bought and picked up, for a friend, a 1995 Rover 620 in Manchester, England a few weeks ago and was very surprised to find a Honda engine inside. Turns out that Rover and Honda worked on it together as Rover wasn't doing well financially. It was a red car and looks so similar to the Integra of this generation. At least to me it does.
does this have good cargo room if its just you in the car? seems like it would
The hatch does give it a surprising amount of room to move things. I was able to fit 4 wheels and a jack in the back which I didn't think was possible.
What cup holder / table is that?
Amazing. I would be soo paranoid driving that.
Ha, why is that? Because it's old? I was paranoid about it being stolen but i think i'm over that, i think.
@@Altek1 No cause it's soo beautiful and perfect lol. Def a museum piece imo.
Altek I really wanna see your opinion on Lexus and Infiniti.
I need a DA in my life! 😩
Beautiful car 😍👌❤️
Thank you!
That's why I drive mine same way
This is such a great video, gives a lot of info about the car. I'm looking forward so saving some money and trying to find such a car as my first one so can you think of some suggestions for me ?
You still have that yonaka exhaust?
I don't, I gave it to a mechanic friend of mine when I swapped mine out. If I still had it, I'd gladly have given it to you bro!
Why do you blur out your license plate?
Trust issues mainly 😁 It's kind of a best practice thing, since it links to my personal address. And when I review someone else's car, they usually ask me to do it.
Wonderful.
Interested in more wrx vids
I should be getting suspension done soon enough, I'll do a follow up when I get that. Otherwise trying to find a 2019 STI to get on video.
Put hi-temp grease on the pivot ball for the clutch pedal, it'll sound like a 2020 civic si clutch but feel like a real pedal lll
Will do bud! Thanks for the tip. Getting the dings removed soon since I think this car deserves more love than i'm currently giving it.
I just bought a 92 gs with 200,000 plus it's reliable so far
Sweet!!
Good good video and good review, although it would have been appreciated to see at least one 0 to redline acceleration. Also if you plan to drive your car daily just grease the clutch pedal hinge.
your front lip is from civic ef ?
I still want one.
Keep looking online. I paid a bit more than I wanted to, $3500, but the only reason I did it was because I never see these anywhere. Happy hunting!
Or if you do see one it's all messed up.
Hi. May i know the wheel/tire specs? Thank you
I do love Integras. Been meaning to pick one up as a daily but I keep buying project cars instead...
Haha, it can't be hard to find a destroyed Integra to be a project car as well: www.autoblog.com/cars-for-sale-detail--3872975011287124763-Acura-Integra-1993
That one even has a crate so you don't need to buy the drivers seat 😃
@@Altek1 ha. Fair enough.
Hey do you know the thread size on the rack and opinion where the hose go. But I need the middle one thread size because I cross thread. Lol
Oh man, I hate when that happens. Sadly I do not. I've actually avoided doing any engine work on that car short of oil changes and spark plugs because it's just so damn tight in there. Best of luck finding it out bud!
Awesome cars and we'll built.
Hey what happened to your other Acura and if it's no longer running are you parting it out I need a headlight
I want one so bad!
Thanks for watching!
at 6:25 when you pulled e brake i was like oh shit fwd drifter then you were like it dont work hahah
Haha that would be a bold move now that I have the ebrake working but yeah, that baby was loose as a goose then!
any upgrades on the wrx since the last video.
I'd drive it! I'd drive something from the 80s as well...
Funnest car I've ever driven was probably a beat up 87 Corolla station wagon. It had no right brake pad, made stopping hilarious. I'm trying to find me some serious old clunkers to get on video, but I'm right there with you bud.
Beautiful car I’m getting one this March a 1993 Acura Integra just like this one in the video only for 2500$ 👍🏼😏
Very nice. That's a good price. What kind of condition is it in? How many miles? I'm very happy with mine still, but I refuse to start it in 10 degree weather so I haven't driven it in a while but the last time I did, it purred like a kitten 😁
@@Altek1 it’s in perfect condition exterior and interior and it has a new transmission and motor so it’s not original but all it needs is a new battery and a alternator 👍🏼 I can’t wait to start driving I haven’t drove in a year 😭😭
Those integras are all over California
And I bet they have fresh paint jobs too. Every time I visited Cali I was always jealous of the shines old cars had, not so jealous of the layer of dust though.
