In both these cases the planet concerned is Saturn and as Saturn is the Ayushkaraka there will be cancellation of it being a Maraka. The 22nd Drekkana from the sign of Aries falls in the sign of Scorpio and again the ascendant lord becomes a Maraka and so does in the case of Libra Ascendant.
