Wow amazing performance by whole UCLA Bruins women basketball team tonight. The rotation that Cori Closeand coach executed today was superb and amazing. There first win versus a number ranked one team and it came against South Carolina Gameocks .This definitely was a physical and clean game tonight But And they got their revenge in Los Angeles remembering Dawn Stanley knocked this team out of the sweet 16 a year ago. And tonight they showed they can defeat and beat the defending NCAA women champions tonight and they did it amazing fashion. . This is a team that work together and definitely win games and play the game of basketball efficiently. And goes individually and collectivity thorough out their big 10 conference games a And they continue to play phenomenal defensive and interrupt their opponents offensive amd defense from the opening minute to the final minutes of the game versus south Carolina.Due to UCLA defense and offense the Gamecocks has lost this game . And that was phenomenal from both ends of the floor from the UCLA Bruins and you have to give them credit for their defensive plays through out whole game getting stops and stealing and out rebounding the South Carolina Gamecoks . And the UCLA starters and the players that was phenomenal tonight .That just show the phenomenal growth and their Resilience. And their ability to dominate constantly has grown feom last season of this team from last season to now. And they all should be proud of Sunday perfomance. Because they won and they made history this Sunday. Player stats and UCLA leaders for this game Lauren Betts with 11 points 4 assists and 11 rebounds A Kiki rice with 11 points 1 rebound and three assists. Eliana with 13 points 3 rebounds and four assists. Jones with 15 points and two rebounds. Timea Gardiner 3 points and 3 rebounds. Angela Dugalic 5 points and 4 rebounds. Gabriella Jaquez 11 points and 3 rebounds. Janiah eight points and seven rebounds. The UCLA bruins has snapped the south Carolina 43 game winning streak.

If you didn't see the USCs losing this past weekend, it's probably because you were distracted by some things, over-valued some things, or got caught up in hype. SoCal does absolutely have 2 awesome players, but the team is young and still needs to mesh. Folks made a big deal about Kennedi Smith being injured, but I don't see the result being any different if she had been there. The bigger missings were Maddie Wesbeld and Liza Karlen. ND is just a strong team, top to bottom and they play with a toughness and chip on their shoulders (see UConn game last season at Storrs). As good as Juju is, she isn't consistent enough to night in night out beat teams by herself. They kept it tight for a good while but I think ND realized they were the better team and started to show up like that the rest of the way. USC is also a very easy target because they don't have Forbes on the perimeter easing the burden for Juju. I was surprised by how ineffective Iriafen was. Marshall is just too passive and I think Koval finally figured that out.
The UCLA game seemed just as obvious because of 3 major factors. 1) SC barely beat Michigan, a team that played great but that has way fewer weapons than UCLA. They have been giving signs all this young season of the chinks in their armor. 2) This was a home game for UCLA. If this game were played in Colonial Life, I think it would have been a different result, but it wasn't. I don't remember seeing UCLA this energized (outside of Londynn Jones). Lauren Betts looked fearless. I think they definitely got a boost from playing at home. 3) Probably the greatest factor was no Kamilla Cardoso. Why people downplay her absence is a mystery to me. She stepped in and filled Aliyah Boston's shoes last season. Heck, if it wasn't for her, there would be no 43-game win streak. This loss had to happen at some point this season - so much better that it happened earlier so players don't get caught up in it like fans already are. I really believe in my heart that at some point during the 2nd half, Dawn Staley was thinking " this might not be such a bad thing". I don't doubt she has solid reasons for her rotation decisions, and I think it's crazy that a lot of folks do. She knows what she's doing and I think this is a "good" loss for them. They lose to a top 5 team so the penalty is low. It's early enough that it can serve as a wake up call for the team. And it's a road game.

Wow, who did South Carolina play? Based on your conversation, it seems not to matter who the team was that handed them a heavy loss.
