I'd consider trying to eat proper food in some of your training to see if that helps. You eat healthily so gels probably aren't the best thing for you. You could try a soft protein bar instead? It definitely sits better with me. I used to struggle and now i swapped to solid food I can run so much further. It's also alot cheaper haha.
it's funny you say this because we have tried this once . . . but we need to choose better foods (that we can eat relatively quickly) and those that aren't so bulky to carry! and i agree - gels are very expensive 😅😅😅

Congrats Holly! What an achievement, regardless the time it took (non runners have absolutely no idea what a “good” pace is🤪). Would love to hear what you told yourself in those hard moments, I find running psychology (esp in super endurance like this) quite fascinating.

Agreed with everything you said. Super well organised and fun, but it's extremely tough with the heat and humidity. I reckon you can definitely place if you ever come back in the future! I was actually at the finish line trying to get a solid cinematic shot of you two finishing so you can use it on your vlog, but I ran out of time and had to go

I think it's crazy they didn't close many roads. That's so dangerous.
i didn't feel like it was that dangerous because there were always event organisers on the roads directing traffic, but it did feel a bit busy at some points 😅

@@bhcc532 i'm just not using gel like i do at home so it looks very frizzy, but in all honesty, it is my hair at the end of the day so i can choose what i want to do with it 🙈
@@bhcc532 Since when is having no shape = not taking of her hair? It's her natural hair, let her do whatever she wants with it. She's also in an extremely humid climate and curly hair is already difficult to manage even w/o humidity.

You are looking very unwell Holly, have you checked in with a doctor or your ED psychologist recently. Probably a combination a few things, like not working a proper job and knowing balance, travelling and living with a guy for a first time, not doing any social activities alone. Just because you came from an academic background where you got adoration from been top in everything and devoted soulless life to study, does not now mean you need to swap that obsession for another with running. Plus trust me you will feel no better mentally whatever time you run, nobody cares besides you and Angelo, what pace you run at or position you come. Maybe enjoy your trip a bit more, be relaxed and unorganised, you can have time apart from Angelo, you don't have to copy his every move and train exactly like him. I hope you are ensuring your cycle is regular and training around periods correctly, you are declining so rapidly in videos, its so upsetting to see.
Please be considerate when commenting. You may well be trying to be supportive however, this comment could be extremely damaging. If Holly were struggling with her mental health a comment like this is not going to encourage her to seek support. If anything it would be likely to place her in a worse mindset. In future please refrain from accusatory terms such as 'not working a proper job'. That is a personal opinion and will be upsetting and make Holly stop reading not inspire her to get support as you apparently are intending to do.
@@amy_runs The concerned comments have been wide spread across social platforms and online forums for weeks, it is clear she is ignoring every one of them. Sorry but by now its absolutely not about Holly as she has put herself at risk for years, but her vulnerable audience. There needs to be more messages and questions about why she thinks this is ok to advocate and portray as normal. A huge number of her audience are young vulnerable impressionable viewers, who probably see Holly's unhealthy exercise, diet and relationship as aspirational, when in truth be told, its far from it.
this is an entirely uncalled for comment?? she got a very thorough checkup before the trip to make sure she was healthy enough to go. even if she didn’t, it’s not your place to make these kinds of judgments and comments.
by the way, it is extremely difficult (& therefore unrealistic) to expect someone to not replace unhealthy obsessions. it is one way to handle addictions: replace something bad with something good. there’s a lot more to it than that, certainly not that simple. my point is that your comment is inappropriate and unrealistic. if you want to help, do better.
