The thing about Rachel's character that is so true and honest is that people who really are like her in real life do not really see a way to remove that jealousy. And it's so easy to see but hard to do. Rachel doesn't realize why everyone is so nice towards Baam and so stuck to him. It's not because he's this powerful guy or this amazing talented kid. It's because of his morals and his attitude towards life. Which is ironic all because Baam is like this due to Rachel, who thinks she's crap or think she's nothing without this tower. But a kid that is so talented throws it all away for someone like her. She should instead embrace what he is and why he's so loved by everyone, it's because he does it all for someone else and not for himself. If she finds something to fight for other than herself she would learn that it's not all due to his talents that makes him lovable, but his beauty that shines from his ability to live for others. But she instead neglects his reason for being so beautiful because she KNOWS that she can never be that nice or that beautiful. That is why she is having such a hard time betraying Baam because if she does then it solidifies that she is this terrible person she doesn't want to believe she is. In her head she's constantly saying, "I'm not a bad person, right?", "I'm doing it for my dreams and he just happens to be in the way, right?". But in all honestly she's doing it because she hates how much he outshines her. It's this realization that she's actually this much of a terrible person that gnaws away at her. Instead of wanting to acknowledge this ugliness and fix it, she chooses to cover it up.
This right here has got to be the best explanation and understanding of this character i have ever seen, it's exactly what i thought about her and her character and personality, so many have a hard time understanding this or her in general.
The combination of the ending theme playing when the bitch pushed Bam was absolutely phenomenal! Definitely one of the best anime thus year! I love this anime and I can’t wait to see the next arcs of the webtoon animated!

Naturally, both the process of climbing and wish at the top makes them stronger. To my best knowledge, Yuri does happen to be the strongest princess.
Yup. This is essentially Rachel, an extremely self-centered witch. She's intensely jealous and wants everything, feeling that Bam does not deserve what he gets (power and genuine friends) even if he earns it out of his own hard work and effort. She gets enraged when Bam has nice things happen to him and whines when anything does not go her way. You'll have to wait and see more of her in the future, but yeah, she's a very easy character to hate. As for why the administrator and Navigator (who someone in the comments already explained what Navigators are) and why they planned all this and want Bam trained, you''ll find out in season 2. Jahad's princesses are chosen by him and imbued with his power, but they still have to climb the tower. Yuri did it and thus she's a very powerful ranker. Trust me, this is but a small bit of what makes her one of my favorite characters. Also, everyone always focuses on Rachel's betrayal, as they should, but am I the only one wondering how Dede Cancho and Blarogue survived the bull? They got attacked by it, a creature even Rankers fear, and we even saw Dede all limp in the bull's jaws, yet they're right there alive and well with the rest of the group after the test.
Navigators/Guides are people like Evans (short guy with Yuri) who show a path for others. Apparently Hwaryun (Red Hair) is a navigator and wasnt supposed to be there since Evans was surprised. she was probably leading a path for Rachel. Note that Headon says Rachel wasnt called by the tower, so shes not a natural "Irregular" like Bam or the Mazino guy, but shes also not a Regular since she wasnt chosen by Headon. so shes actually a third case of an extremely uncommon irregular. Also i think Lero Ro said Irregulars are naturally strong and destructive so maybe that's why they tried to get rid of bam.
Navigators can see the future thats why thsyre called the guides. Also hwaryun isnt for Rachel, shes for Bam. She from FUG which youll learn about in the enxt season.
Emilia No she cannot see Shinsoo, in episode 13 they show Bam and Rachel’s hands from her point of view. Rachel doesn’t see anything, she just changes the subject. Also, don’t put spoilers. They read the comments you know.
A navigator is just like a pathfinder, they're good at "finding the way" essentially. The small guy with the grey hair with Yuri is also a navigator. Also leroro didn't quit being a ranker, he quit being a test administrator. Once you climb the tower you're a ranker forever, its just a title. To the rankers climbing the tower again its just a chore, especially when each floor is like a world in itself and what you're looking for could be on any floor. Tower of God is one of my favorite stories, I'm glad you guys are enjoying it!
For some context that you don’t get in the anime: Rachael got into the tower because Bam opened it while she was under him. Then he opened it again to come in. I would recommend reading S1 of webtoon so that you can completely understand everything that's happening and get the whole context. I like the anime but there are some things that the anime missed. One of which is Endrossi and Baam relationship.

Would suggest you to the read the webtoon after this and start from the beginning, not season 2, because the anime cut out/modified tons of details and explanations about rankers, Jahad, irregulars, shinsu etc. Totally up to you though, I would just say this, the anime is not the true tower of God experience. Far from it. They changed character personalities and cut out most of Bam's development along with his moments with Endorsi.
I've just finished the entire webtoon after watching season 1 animated : Even though there are dialogues and events skipped in the anime, I think it might be better for them to go read season 2 instead, so that the hype and curiosity doesn't die down

Season 1 is around 80 chapters anyway, if they read it on their own and don't stream it , they can finish it within a week at most. And it will vastly improve their enjoyment of season 2.

Would suggest you to the read the webtoon after this and start from the beginning, not season 2, because the anime cut out/modified tons of details and explanations about rankers, Jahad, irregulars, shinsu etc. Totally up to you though, I would just say this, the anime is not the true tower of God experience. Far from it. They changed character personalities and cut out most of Bam's development along with his moments with Endorsi.
I've just finished the entire webtoon after watching season 1 animated : Even though there are dialogues and events skipped in the anime, I think it might be better for them to go read season 2 instead, so that the hype and curiosity doesn't die down
@@Anna-fp9lu If they jump into season 2 without reading season 1 they'll have no idea wtf is going on just like in this video. Season 1 is around 80 chapters anyway, if they read it on their own and don't stream it , they can finish it within a week at most. And it will vastly improve their enjoyment of season 2.
