I love EZ's musicality & lyricism! If you just listen to his lyrics like this one, you would think the words are simple BUT a SHARP ears & SHARP mind will get the complexities, the bars, the references/metaphors & the double/triple entendres
Been a fan of EZ since 2020 & has seen & heard all his discography, 4 albums & lots of collaborations on the side. He is a great rapper but he is also a REAL artist! His versatility is amazing & his dexterity in the vocabulary is up up in the level of tbings!

nah, I hope he's not on the album if this is generally how he raps. I admittedly have only heard this but this isn't nothing special. Too many rappers that sound exactly like this. If em passes the "torch" down, it should be to a lyricist with versatility. Don't know why Em hasn't looked into underground rap for this and signed someone with a similar cadence to him. I remember a really old interview that I can't find anymore but he said he didn't want to rap into his 50s. This was when he really young so his opinion could've changed.

I think if you're theory about Em possibly handing the torch to EZ Mil is true, he may get flack from a small group of people for handing it to a lighter skin artist. I know he's from the Philippines but still. He's not a culture vulture though as long as he grew up in hip hop though. I'm not super familiar with him as an artist but I hope he's more versatile than this. And of course Em should make sure he's sending it to a lyricist that writes his own music. Drake had people writing his lyrics in a beef which is cringe af. There's a special thing when it's coming from the artists themselves. When most of your music comes from ghostwriters, there just as to be an empty feelling about it not all being your own.
