Great video, enjoyed watching it. I was puffing for you on the Mastiles climb! Oh, & a big thanks Andy for recently including the Kamoot platform on your rides. Found it so much easier to upload the routes for me & my wife to experience the same rides. Keep up the great stuff
Cheers mick. Glad you liked them. Wasn’t to sure at 1st. But they turned out ok. Doing that climb twice was a little brutal. Things I do for your entertainment 😂😂
@@TrailFinder 😂😂 It's not just the extra effort, it'll also break your riding rythm which will be a bit of a chew. It could be a good way of showing the true severity of the techy bits which is usually lost with on-bike GoPro footage.
another great ride andy.i`ve built up a nice little library of rides (thanks for sharing) in readiness for when i got my first bike gps, well i`ve just got myself a garmin 830 so i`ve no excuse not to get out there and tackle them myself.
Great video, I remember doing much of this route on a hard tail some years ago. We did ours in reverse to yours and the climbs were brutal. Mastiles Lane on a hard tail at full tilt was an eye opener for sure.
Found so many great trails because of this channel ... what would be a good idea is to put your garmin profile on so people can load your rides on to theirs
Thanks for all the videos Andy - I've really been enjoying them. Me and a mate are heading to the Yorkshire Dales (for the first time ever) next week - and are staying in Burnsall. I've seen this video as a potential route for us - could you suggest any others please ? Cheers Simon
Top video as ever Andy, the scenery in the Yorkshire dales is absolutely outstanding, loved that grassy descent at the beginning mate, I looked into fitting some 29’s on my bike but there’s not enough room, oh well, Andy could I ask a favour, the ride you did about 10 months ago, the Kinder circuit, any possibility you could send me the Komoot link for it please, I did a similar one yesterday but it wasn’t half as good as yours pal, cheers, Sean
Trail-Finder ok Andy, your welcome mate and no worries about the Komoot link, I’ll look at the video footage again and see if I can sort of work it out which way you went, thanks anyway pal 👍
nice ride Andy, just a quick thought im new to Garmin and gps devices aside from my phone, any chance of posting an equipment/spec list for your rides i.e. devices, tyres, bags etc would be much appreciated Steve
Faster on the flat and climbs. But don’t descend as nice as my plus tyres. For cross country they are great. Getting a dedicated 29er frame soon. So they should be better. There is always a compromise on bikes that take 2 wheel sizes
Thanks James 😁. I won’t be doing a video on it. But I can tell you. I use 2 frame bags to carry all tools and a tube. And bib shorts with pockets on the back for food. If I think it may rain I use a hip pack to carry the jacket. Only now and again do I use a backpack. But refer to be free of it. I’m not really a sweater. So don’t drink a great deal when on the bike. So a bottle on the bike is usually enough
Hi Paul I’ve just checked by clinking the link and I can’t find at all where to download the ride to a device. When I’m logged in my self there is a link. I didn’t know this was a problem. Your the 1st person to bring this to my attention. I have 4 videos edited with the Garmin link. I will not be adding this link in the future. You will have to download it to your device via trailforks or Kamoot. Sorry about that
@@TrailFinder Hi Andy. Cheers for the quick reply. I've just tried the Komoot link on another one of your vids and it worked fine as I've Komoot linked to my Garmin. Once again love watching your adventures great stuff. Safe riding.
I’ve got the edge 820. It’s from 2016. It’s recently been updated and is now the 830. Which looks brilliant. It was a game changer for me getting a Garmin. I bought mine just for the sat nav part
Thanks mark. My goal is 10k. I’d be chuffed with that. At the moment on the 29ers I’m running Hans front and rear. Very fast set up. But only running this for the summer months. The Mary will be back on the front when the going gets soft

Thanks Jim. Kamoot link will be available with every video from now on.
Excellent! The off-bike scenes really add an extra dimension The extra trouble you take to set up the camera and re-ride the section is appreciated.

Great video and great scenery. Hell of a last climb on the gravel road. Those 29ers doing you proud
Thanks tony. I’m enjoying the 29ers

Nice one Paul. Heard great things about the 830. You will have to let me know what you think to it. Enjoy the rides

Great vid and tnx for the route Me n me son are doing this 1 tomorrow :)
One of my favourite rides. Great video too. Cheers for using kamoot!
Thanks phil. And Kamoot will be used every video now 👍

Ride data is in the description of every video so you can download my rides to your devices.
Nice edit Andy with the 3rd person shots. Worth the extra effort 👍
Bit of a mess around doing them. But happy with how they turn out. And it gets me in front of the camera instead of been always behind it
Another one to add to the wish list. Cheers

The pen y Ghent ride and this one start at the same place. The pen y Ghent ride is my favourite in that area
Stunning ride Mate. 👍
Thanks mark

Thanks Sean. Just looked through Kamoot for that ride for you but it only goes back to July 2019. I did that ride in May 2019

Maybe Steve. We shall see. It would be nice to do other stuff rather than only ride vids. Need to get over my camera shyness 1st 😂😂
Good effort on the climb, doing it twice as well coz you had to set the camera up 😉 👍💪 continue to inspire 😎,
Thanks. Doing that top section of the climb twice was brutal. Things I do for your entertainment hey 😂😂
Have you noticed much difference in the bigger wheels? And do you prefer?

looking good i do need to get out in the mtb. my garmin does that all the time can be embarrassing sat at the traffic lights with it screaming lol
Thing is when I do crash the Garmin does **** all 😂😂😂 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@TrailFinder thankfully I haven't crashed........ Yet lol
great video 👌
Thanks 😁
Brilliant vid mate. Could you do a video on what you take on a ride with you? As you seem to travel proper light but pull off decently sized rides

Top video, beautiful ride in the dry n I’m with you on the cows...... nasty evil animals!! 😁
Thanks. And yes they are. I prefer sheep 😂
Nice one Andy 👍.. You got the E ⚡yet ??
Thanks Andy. No not yet. May leave it abit longer. Going to get a more capable normal bike instead. When I’ve paid it off may get on e then
Hiya mate. Really enjoy your videos mate. I've clicked on the link to Garmin but can't workout how to get your Gpx files. Great stuff mate.

Which garmini do you use, looking to buy my first bike gps.

Great ride and vid...not to far away from me either.
Thanks 😁
whats your top 3 Dales rides ?
That’s a tough one. I have so many favs. 1st I’d say pen y Ghent. Then ribblehead. Then maybe something around reeth
Another fantastic ride Andy, you deserve way more subscribers. Are you still running Hans Dampf rear, Magic Mary front? 👍🙂

How do you not get lost!!!!
Because I’ve got a sat nav on my handlebars 😁
A third person view i like it
Same. A lot of hassle to do though 😁
Ride up yanbury Moor and down hebden Gill
